Flowers are a big part of my wedding. So I'm considering a 'save the bees' seed packet (with bee friendly flower seeds) and a small jar of local honey. But I'm still looking out for other ideas.
Great ideas on here! I think we're having my best friend make us little fabric purses for the ladies and/or some home-made bath bombs (he might make us some sort of vintage/kitsch holder for the bombs). For then men I would love to put miniatures of my FIL to be's home brewed raspberry cider- but the hotel won't let us bring our own alcohol in :-( Soooo still stuck for the boys x

wer'e thinking of having either wine or champagne glasses with names etched on them so that they can double up as place cards, was initially thinking of lottery tickets but kind of wanted something people could keep to remember our day, we might still change our minds yet though lol x

I haven't got the foggiest what we are doing or favours, but I want it to be something fun. Maybe some sweeties and a balloon or something (or maybe not haven't thought about the adults yet haha), but the kids will have animal feed in theirs and maybe a small packet of sweets. The animal feed idea is because there are resident geese, chickens, ducks and two pigs so we don't want the children throwing scraps of food over. We thought it would also make it fun for them and would make for good photo opportunities ;)

My favourate sweets are Haribo Gold bears and the pineapple ones. So when we sent our invites we asked what everyones fave flavour bear was. I have 4 giants tubs of bears and will be making everyone a bag of just their fave flavour bear as a favour.

We have 7 children in the day they have their own table with goodie bags, colouring books, crayons, sweets there's two babies which are still on powdered milk. We have diamond shaped bubbles to put in tables as well as two bottles of wine to each table were not bothering with adult favours although we do have mini cupcakes made professionally so they will be the (favours) not that we were going to bother all the weddings we have been to the majority of the bitty favours and chocolate are left x

The last wedding we went to they did somthing really sweet, on everyones plate was a little note...
[Off to see if I can find it so I don't get the words wrong.... found it]
Firstly also let me explain something to help make it a little more clear, while they where planning their wedding the brides mam died of cancer and a year before the bride and groom met the groom's grandad died of cancer after fighting it off three times.
Heres the note: In lieu of the tradititional wedding favour, a donation has been made to St Terea's Hospice, in loving memory of Jennifer's mum Alison, and John's grandad, George.
Thank you for sharing our special day.

I'm not sure what to have as favours, as we are having a sweetie buffet and an ice cream cart. I was thinking about candles.

I've got a candy buffet but mainly for the kids Our favours are chocolates I've found little Cinderella type carriages in pink and white (my colour theme) and will have 1 chocolate heart in white foil and some little chocolate balls in pink foil
CommentAuthorclairenina
I'm still stuck as to what to have, as we are having a sweet buffet. I won't buy gender specific gifts, as I don't like that. Still thinking of a candle each
CommentAuthorElizabethF49
Oh gosh favours is a whole other ball game.
We were thinking go little square boxes in Our colours filled with tablet and/or truffles home made by h2b. This is rather time consuming so not entirely sure.
I like the idea of a candle. It it would probably be a tea light but again I'm not sure.
I'm loving some of your ideas tho with the mini eggs and dairy milk chocs. Personalised m&ms look great too. Oh I can't decide I think I will leave this up to my oh. Also like the idea of a lottery ticket/scratch cars hmm decisions but I've got plenty of time.
For the children I will have 3 six years olds (2 boys and a girl one is our son/page boy) an 8 year old and 11 year old boy. I like the idea of the boxes/bags but no idea what to put in them and help?
Thanks
After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13

We are donating £600 to them with the names of all our guests x

As we are having a london theme with tiffany blue and red as our colour scheme, as favours we are having little tiffany blue bags, with red tissue paper inside wrapped around a mug with london landmarks on it.

because my htb is welsh, i wanted to bring a little of wales to the wedding. so we are having little love spoons. they have a little bow on them in our colour and a message on them and the story of the love spoon on them. its so lovely and we are given them to each couple on each person so it helps with costs. im really struggling with thank you gifts for parents as we would like something different but cheap!!
CommentAuthorShowgirl
We're giving a pair of earrings to all the ladies and a pair of cufflinks to the men. We're probably going to put together activity packs for kids as their favours. For thank you gifts we're giving the BMs bracelets and we've got earring and necklace sets for the Mums. OH hasn't yet decided on gifts for the gromsmen though
we are having bird & butterfly biscuits to match our theme xx

My fiance is Welsh and for Christmas he made me a handmade carved Welsh lovespoon. I'm thinking about giving all the ladies a welsh lovespoon.

We were thinking a couple of things, one of them little alcoholic miniatures, can you think of anything similar we could get for the kids and our T-Total friend?
CommentAuthorCrawf
Well, I've changed my mind so many times!! My friend has started a business doing favours and 'sweet treats' and as her gift to us is making us personalised love hearts in ivory organza bags, tied with orange ribbon in a grey/silver mini bucket. To this I will clip their place card with a mini peg :) Same favour for everyone! Also, I've made kissing pegs which will be the escort cards and people can keep them too.
I don't know wether to make wine glass charms or decorate the wine/champagne glasses for top table as a little extra or not though. Depends in time/money!!
