ive just borught some rose candles wrapped in tulle that are also rose scented. need to change tho so all white so once sorted will post pic on wall.

we're going to buy mini plant pots and fill them with homemade tablet (so we can make them a few weeks in advance!) and wrap them in tissue paper matching the colour scheme and tying them together with strings of pearls :) can't wait to start making them!

I am going for cancer research pin badges.
Im stuck between going for Cancer Research uk where i wil have ribbon with pink stone for the ladies and ribbon with blue stone for the guys. Or World Cancer Research Fund where the badges will all be the same with dif colours representing different forms of cancer. On top of this i will be making my own butterfly shaped chocolates and wrapping them in purple foil.

We're having LOROS scratchcards. LOROS is a local cancer hospice which cares for people with terminal cancer and is funded completely by donations. My auntie spent time there before she died, and it was such a lovely place - much better than the hospital - so it's a worthy cause and also a nice way to remember my auntie x

have my favor bags at home but cant decide what i'm having at the moment is still lots of time so therefore need to discuss that with h2b liking the ideas of the charity or cancer research would really love to do that any tips from anyone who has done those????? would be nice to know :) (probably doing them without h2b's help as he didnt like the idea so much but i liked it very much so :) apart from that will think that kids will get sweeties and maybe some miniature toys which they could use on the day like drawing book with crayons :D otherwise was thinking of those "boring heart shaped chocolates or the chocolate which is personalized" :)

We are making heart shaped cookies with white icing and a black rose on. They will be wrapped with a black ribbon and the guests names will be written on in black icing so they will double as place settings too x x x x

We are doing alcohol favours - were going to get them ready made but thinking of doing it ourselves now - and making them look like little pharmacy bottles - will work out a lot cheaper and we can have any alcohol we want

We're having either seeds or bulbs of the flowers that i'm having in my bouquet (i haven't chosen my flowers yet). That way when our guests take them home and plant them, they can look at them every year and remember our day :) x

We have bought 3kg of love hearts for a really good price from the website named after a rainforest. We have put them in gift bags, though the bags are a bit big for number of lovehearts so I may have to get more/ add something else in.

I've only just started thinking about wedding favours so apologies if this is a daft question, but do you give these just to the day guests who are ceremony/meal or to the evening guests as well?? Only wedding i've ever been to there were only 40 guests in total so everyone was there all day! xx

Just got this off another website as a definition of favours:
Traditionally at a wedding, five sugared almonds were given to each guest to symbolise the bitter-sweet nature of marriage and to represent health, wealth, fertility, long life and happiness. Favours are your special little gift for every guest to take home and remember your day. They are usually left at each guest’s place setting at the wedding breakfast, but can also be given out after the reception providing the bride and groom with the perfect excuse to stop and talk to every guest.
