    Me and the H2B got enagaged valentines day 2012! We had planned on getting wed this november, but he has lost his job and still still out of work. We are now getting wed 13th June 2015 :) (p.s. does anyone know how to get the pic and the words at the bottom of your post? i.e ive seen majority have a little picture and when they are getting married at the bottom?

    Hi, I'm Laura, I got engaged on the 18th October 2013 and was originally wanting May 2015, ended up with 11th October 2014. I have all the main things booked, venue got my dress bridesmaid dresses groom and male party suits ordered, cake, registrar so it's now just a case of the exciting yet slightly easy to go over the top 'added touches' such as table decorations.

    Theme for our wedding is beautiful yet economical if there's such a thing. We're not not having things but being careful of how much they cost and if we are able to save a few £££ then we will do so. I'm so fortunate that h2b uncle is a amazing photographer and will be helping us with this.

    Eeeeeekkkk I still get giddy and say it whenever I can "I'm getting married"!!

    Hi There,
    I have been engaged for a few years now to my best friend and one in a million.
    We have never been actively thinking about sorting out 'the big day' as we are happy getting on with life etc but now we want to sort out our wedding. Our main thought is that it will be for us and not for anyone else. We aren't interested in family and friends getting upset over who is and isn't invited or that the menu isn't to their tastes. In fact, we are interested in having a tiny wedding with only a few people with us (probably no more than I can count on my fingers).

    I have never been a girly girl, never dreamed of weddings or white dresses so don't even know where to start! This could be interesting.... and a steep learning curve :-)

    Hello everyone, I'm Amy. On the 27th of this month it will be mine and my partners 10 year anniversary. We got engaged April 2013, on our 9 year anniversary.
    Originally we'd discussed planning the wedding for the 10 year mark unfortunately he's been very ill this year and needed a few operations (had the last one yesterday!)
    We're now hoping to get married April 2015, we'll be 27 years old, celebrating our 11th anniversary with our three children who will be aged 7, 5 and 4 then. I can't wait!
    We have a teeny tiny budget and an even smaller invite list but I'm still hoping to plan a beautiful, fun day!

    (Ps- people often ask why we've waited so long, I've wanted to be married for years but more than that I wanted our children to be old enough to play a part and remember the day with us)

    I joined not long after I got engaged (2/12/13) but have really just been following the posts on Facebook but now that we have a venue and a date, 24/09/2016!!!!, I figured it's time to start talking to other brides and getting some advice.
    Based just outside Glasgow and planning a loosely themed 1920s wedding so any help is welcome!

    Hi all, my oh and I were engaged in January 14 while on holiday in Thailand. We have now set a date and just recently booked our venue - 09/07/2016!
    Very excited and planning on booking a photographer and evening entertainment ASAP too, to ensure that we get the ones we want and avoid any disappointment. Any advice and tips would be appreciated. I am currently considering making all of my own stationery, so again any pointers I would love to hear from you :-)

    We have set a date!! :) a year later than I had wanted but such is life eh? Plenty more time to plan & takes the pressure off. Deposit will be put on venue by end of month & then spend a year shopping around for bargains!

    Just did a wee g00gle search its gorgeous! We're having it at my future in-laws home and business Turnip House near Ballyward :) booked Banbridge Registry Office for the legal bit but are applying to get a marriage license at the venue so fingers crossed we can have the whole day there!

    Hi everyone! I'm newly engaged-April fools day this year! I want to start planning straight away but not getting married til 2016. On a tight budget as I'd imagine most are but don't want to compromise on my wedding day so planning on doing a lot myself, I.e invites, table plans, bouquets, favours and even my cake(seeing as I'm a cake maker!).
