We have had our wedding photos back, which are absolutely fabulous! But we have a question about photo albums. Our photographer has sent us a usb stick with all the photos on and has said we can do what we like with it. He has also sent price lists to get a wedding album done for us. The cheapest is £295 (A4 storybook) and the most expensive is £520 (A3 album with thick pages and quality photographic paper). The one in the middle is £420 (A4 version of the £520 one). All of these prices are discounts on the original prices.

Hubby isn't keen on spending lots of money on an album and has suggested doing our own with Ph0t0b0x or V1stapr1nt. Has anybody done this please, and how did it come out?

A friend of mine did and it turned out fab. Not as good quality prints but cost £30 so what do you expect in a way. Would do it every time x

I've never seen a wedding one however I got a photo album off ph0t0b0x of my little boys pics. I love it but the pages are just paper. I think I'd personally prefer the proper wedding album like the thick pages more like thick hard card. The wedding album our photographer does is £325

I done one through j3ss0ps and it came out lovely, I chose the pics, what page I wanted and it was really cheap, it wasn't a massive page one though.

Although the downside of the photographers one is you are more limited to the number of photos in it

I've used $nAP F1$h before for their books and there absolutely beautiful - because all of it is completely customisable it didn't look like it was out of place - wouldn't go as far as 'professional' but theres so many different sizes and options there really good xx

I've used the same as Keyleigh for non wedding prints. They looks amazing especially when you throw a little money at it.
My photographer is putting all the photos on a disc because like you I want to make my own book and possibly get a photograph blown up for the wall.
    I'd reccomend $nAp F1$hh also

Ive used $n@pf1$h and there great but i don't knoe if they offer a higher quality photobook as the ones I have got are just paper pages. Our wedding photographer offers an album with all her packages so we have a 100 page album included and can add on more if we wish, we also get 10 dvd slide shows with choice of music and all pics on a disc, I think ill just get the one album and if I want to do another ill just print off from the disc and do my own xx

I don't know if this even exists, but is there somewhere near you where you could get a professional looking album made up if you take the USB to them and tell them which images you'd like? So wouldn't be as professional as a photographer, but would be more professional than using sites like sn@pf1sh?? Might be worth a g00gle??

We have a photobook shop in the village I am going to look into a bit more before deciding to get an album via our photographer, is there anywhere like that near you?

I think it depends on how important the photo album is, ive used ph0t0b0x and sn4p f1sh and the do hard books they also have offers on for half price etc. I think this is the route we will be going down as photos wont be brought out very often.

Yes they do offered other paper types etc and I think because the photos themselves would've be done professionally the quality should be fine - if not better then a bog standard digital camera xx

We have a photographers place in town that someone at work suggested, and also a photo shop that I think does things like that (they do passport photos etc). We'll have a look into those.

My photographer is giving us all our photos on a USB and disc and will be doing a canvas for us our choice and we are getting a professional wedding album for us and two smaller ones for our parents so they have their own album too I cannot remember the price but it's deffo pricey but I think it is worth it!
I wanted it on thick card and hubby preferred the digital version so you can change the background colour and put photos in any which way etc which I wasn't keen on at first but I'm sure I will Love it.

I haven't made photo books on Sn@pFi$h or Ph0t0B0X or FreePrints I've been wanting to try I probably will test it out with Newborn photos =D
Sn@pp¥Sn@ps have nice albums from what I seen you might be able for get it done their if you have one near you you can print the photos rift from your phone or USB and my out sit their and edit the photos the size does it fit etc
Personally I would go for professional as wedding photos but If you really want to put it together yourself go ahead in sure it will look just as amazing and will have more sentimental value too because you done it yourself with your hubby
    Xxx

Good point. SIL and BIL did a honeymoon book on Ph0t0b0x and it came out really well. Will just have to do a bit of research. I've emailed the photographer to ask if he does a smaller book, as I think 120 photos is probably too many, and I've asked my Mum and Stepdad for advice :o)

I do not know how to get there, but I really want to try) I can not decide on the design of the album, please help!!
