There isnt a set time to send out invites, its how you feel on whether you want them out earlier than later. I am getting married on the 24th July and my invites are going out at the end of April. x

8th August 2008 - the day he was mad enough to propose to me

I just read ur ment to send them out about 6 months b4 :-) x
Theres no set rule... as long as you leave enough time for the guests to rsvp and to get rge numbers to the venue!

lol well im obviously very late then, they usually say to have them out at the latest 6 weeks before the wedding so that you have received enough replies for your approximate wedding venue numbers but like I said its very flexible. I always think if you send them out too early people tend to forget they got the invite or loose it within their home if they dont reply as soon as they get it. x

lol yeah I thought that spooney24 - cause if someone sent me an invite 6 months in advance id put it away and forget all about it :-) but if guests need to book rooms etc it probably is best to tell them earlier x

mine are still going out at the end of April anyways cause I am still making them and anyone that is travelling or booking a hotel room already know the information since last year and were reminded at christmas time, so hopefully some people will turn up at my wedding if not i will still have fun. x

you are meant to send them 6 weeks before but i gues the more notice you can give people the better
Im gettin married in may and i sent my day invites out in february, i wanted the replies back 8 weeks before so gave a few weeks to chase up and also do table plans etc. I dont think 2 weeks before to get the replies in is long enough. My evening invites went out 2 weeks after the daytime ones and have until 6 weeks before to reply x

I think you can afford to send out a little later if you've sent save the dates. I sent my save the dates out in December, and so intending to send out day invites in Mid May, requesting RSVP by mid June (3 months before). I'm then not going to send out evenings until had all day back so that I can upgrade people without them knowing.

We're getting married mid-April next year, so Im not really sure what to do - 3 months before would be my thinking, but then for us thats a bit close to xmas - would people lose the invites amoung eveything else, we all know how messy things get with wrapping papers/cards/decorations etc - but then I don't want them to go out too early - any suggestions!?!?!
