I found a wedding dress a while ago that I fell in love with, but it was one the shop picked for me to try on and when I looked at th price it was way out of my budget, I need to pick one now to have one ordered in but am finding it hard to chose one as I can't stop thinking about this other dress. We are getting married in August this year and I feel like I am now going to just pick anything that looks good but not what I love. Any ideas or help

have you got the name/style of the dress?
when my friend got married last year i was one of 3 bridesmaids...we settled on a dress and before deciding to buy it we happened to google it on the internet that evening and found it cheaper in other stores. needless to say we went elsewhere to buy it and saved the guts of £100 p/dress!!

We're on quite a strict budget and I was adamant I wasn't going to spend more than £200 on a dress. Found a beautiful dress on the bay for £100 (bargain). The dress is indeed beautiful in the flesh and it fits - but, I looked like a sack of spuds in it and not once did I feel really special or confident in it. Went to a bridal outlet at the weekend and found the perfect dress but was £600. Well over budget and we're not in a great place where money is concerned to be honest as H2B is just starting his own business. The outlet knocked £100 off so - what the hell. I bought the dress. Had I not tried to save so much in the first place I would have saved the initial £100 too.

Could you look to see if you can find a second hand version of the same dress? Or go to sample sales/outlets? Xxx

Have you tried Oxfam? They have bridal shops with so many different dresses. You never know you might just try one on that you fall in love with. If not at least you have had fun trying lots of dresses on. take a bridesmaid with you and make a day of it. Every dress they sell has been loved and chosen by someone and there is sure to be another bride with similar taste to your own.

Pay the extra if you can and have the dress you really want. Mine was 2.5k and started out looking at china dresses so waaayyy over budget but I couldn't get the dress I tried on out of my head. Glad I did have it now...except for my current lipstick situation of course! X
