I've finally found my dream dress, it has fan detailing on the back.

I really wanted to wear a bolero or shrug of some kind because I'm prone to acne break outs on my back. But, I don't want to cover up the detailing.

My mum suggested a veil, but I'm not sure if this would work. I really don't want to end up looking like Mr. Blobby in a wedding dress from the back. As the day is in March I'm worried it might be a little cold as well.

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do that won't cover the detailing but would cover the cold/acne problem?

I really hope someone can help me. Pleeeeeease :D

Some shrugs can be quite small. You need to check how far up your back the dress gets. You could have a stole, but it's more effort to control. Do you have long hair? If so you could use your hair style to cover your back. It would be helpful to see a picture of the dress, but you will have to add it to your wall and change your profile from private to public for us to see it.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I'm sure your make up artist would also be able to cover up acne in your back :) they'll be used to things like that!

Boleros make me look like the honeymonster from the back (I'm quite broad). A wrap/shawl is more forgiving I think

I would try a few different things on eg bolero/veil etc. A lot of the bridal boleros are pretty tiny and are designed so they don't cover the back of the dress, so they'd definitely be worst a look; it might be an idea to get one 'just in case' so that you can relax knowing you have that option and aren't worrying about it.

I also agree with Shannon: a good make-up artist will be able to cover it with no issues, so that's another option :-)

Maybe try a light material covering that is similar to a veil material. I had something loose added to my dress for my shoulders that went across my back.

    Thanks for the help.

I'm not having a make-up artist, I'm going to do it myself, so unfortunately I can't reach lol.

I do have fairly long hair so I'm hoping it might be enough to cover it too. I've been looking at those boleros that have a cut out section, but does anyone know what they're actually called so I can google them? It's my shoulders that I'm more worried about that anything.

What about having oneof those more Lacey cover ups like a cape that you can Still See detail through? I was reading that they are really in fashion so there's lots of little lace jackets etc about
