I walked down the aisle to the wedding song in brave heart when he marries near the beginning, this was played by the string quartet called ' for the love of the princess' I believe x

We had a string trio, and they played Handel's Hornpipe for the bridesmaids' entrance, and Pachelbel's Canon for me. I know loads of people have Pachelbel's Canon, but it's a piece I've always loved and found incredibly moving, so I had to have it :-)

I walked in to Cantique de Jean Racine by Faure, and we walked out to the Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah by Handel. For the signing of the register the choir that we sing in did some songs that we chose from their repertoire, and All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera which Matthew used to propose to me.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I'm having Pachelbel's canon too, I love it soooo much, especially on strings and we have a string quartet to play it :)
I walked down the aisle to Songbird (the All Angels version not Eva Cassidy). I was going to go for Canon in D Major, but got sick to death of hearing it, so changed my mind a couple of weeks before the wedding.
CommentAuthorKatieH
We are having a harpist and I'll be walking down the isle to Pachelbel's Cannon too :)

I'm thinking of elbow one day like this aswell.went to a wedding open evening at my dream venue and a harp and cello duet played it as I walked in to the room where we would marry...it was almost like fate!not to mention that my sister was in the special olympics and that song was 'the song of the games' so when I hear it, it fills me with pride and happiness....i think it would be great to make it a family anthem,no yet decided on one for signing the register and walking back up the aisle...maybe your song but the Moulin rouge version??

My original plan was that we were going to have a pianist play Danny Elfmans Grand Finale (also known as ice dance from Edward Scissorhands) but the cost is just too much for the sake of an hour of music from the pianist. Resorting to a CD and I know I wanted instrumental music and I found an album from Disney which had instrumental music from some of their movies (I plan on having this playing during the meal) and also found the instrumental music from Edward Scissorhands and Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland. I am currently deciding between the two which I will have played for when walking down the aisle.

CommentAuthorMrsCross2be
I had Sound of Music to walk in, to walk out we had the Hallelujah chorus :)
CommentAuthorTeresa
think ill walk down the isle to bridal chorus, but played on someone on a guitar
for the signing, my friend is going to sing (hopefully if she doesn't chicken out) "A thousand years"
and walking out we are toying with the idea of greece " we go together" just for a bit of fun ;)
CommentAuthorGemmaP11

I'm hoping to walk down to "River flows in you" on the piano. It's also known as "Bella's Lullaby" from the twilight film. But it depends if I can afford a pianist or not lol. I've got someone in mind too hire and I'd probably just let her play her own choices for signing and then let my OH pick a song to walk out too, he's a massive Phil Collins fan :D

I'm walking down the aisle to catch the wind by Donovan, signing the register it must be love by madness and walking out to special brew by bad manners. Our first dance song is barbed wire love by stiff little fingers. Would also love to fit in the way you do the things you do by ub40 but no idea where.
CommentAuthor*KelBel*
For the register signing we had 'a thousand years' by Christina Perri from the film twilight then we walked back down the aisle to elbow, again all played on the quartet x

We're going to have instrumental music for guests to sit down to including ice dance, river flows in you, Glasgow theme (from Love Actually). I'll walk in to a thousand years. We're undecided about the rest of the music. Possibly a couple of Disney songs. My H2B wants Everything is Awesome (from the Logo Movie) at some point lol xxx

Me and h2b have been wondering about this for ages! We keep changing our mind though. What we do know is that we want it to be something from a game that we play together. The one we are thinking of at the moment is from Windwaker (the legend of Zelda). It is beautiful and very fluty and nobody would know that it was from a game or not. We don't want the traditional wedding march so this way it is something that links us both and which is unique and still beautiful x

you have def got plenty of time to decide jessica29792 x

i like tiesto - wasted as a joke song as our first dance
CommentAuthorJessica29792
Definitely Appy89. I like to be very prepared though. We already have our music list sorted. There are a few more that I want to add on but the rest will be added on once the invites have been sent out. We are going to ask each person to write down the name of a song that they would like played at the reception and then we will find it and add it to the list. That way everyone will like at least some of the music. But for now we know our first dance song and what songs we want to be played x

I would really love to walk down the aisle to 'Greatest Day' by Take That. My favourite band and the lyrics are quite fitting :o)
Haven't really thought about the rest.

Im still undecided... Theres a cello and guitar duet that i love and that i also work with.. They have thier own selection of songs one particular i love.... But i actually have no idea what the worda are so i should probably clarify that first lol... Alternatively i would have them play paco belle... My favorite classical composition...
