At first we was going to get married in a church but our venue has changed and now we are traveling to Tamworth from bradford for a small family wedding.
We already asked my h2b 2 friends to be usher's, 1 male n 1 female. We no longer need usher's now but I feel awful coz both people were very pleased that we asked them and that they are part of our wedding day. I don't want to disappoint them and tell them they are no longer needed.
I was thinking of asking the female one to be a bridesmaid but what can I ask the male usher to do? I don't want to hurt his feelings.
    x x

Can't you just give him a small job to do to make him feel part of the party? Or just allow him to wear the suit and feel included!

If only life could be one long tea break

How about you ask him to do a reading at the wedding. My h2b has 3 best friends, 2 male and 1 female. He is having 2 best men as he cant's decide who to have and also which ever one he doesn't pick we be pretty sad. I don't feel close enough to the female ask her to be one of my bridesmaid's so I told H2B to ask her if she would like to a reading then she is still part of the wedding.

We asked my sister's husband to be Master of Ceremonies - he "introduced" us, and introduced the speeches with a little anecdote, announced when we were cutting the cake etc - it was only a small thing but he did a fantastic job of it.

He could still be usher and greet people at the door and tell them where to sit and let the registar know when you have arrived?x

Can't he show people to their seats?

My sister got married in a hotel and BIL still had his brother's asking "Bride or Groom?" at the door and showing them to the appropriate side, not everyone will automatically know where to sit! xx
