I went shopping today with my Sister and my Mum, for my Half Sister's BM dress, and Mum and Sister said that I need to start thinking about underwear because my first dress fitting is on 24th February.
My dress is structured enough for me to not need to wear a bra, so I popped into a lingerie shop near me on my way back from our shopping trip. I've chosen a couple of pairs of pants, but the shop weren't particularly helpful and I'm not sure whether I should choose tights, stockings or hold ups to go with them.
Help!

I wouldn't be bothered with tights, think about when you need to use the toilet, trying to hold up your dress and faff about with tights, maybe go with stocking or hold up, I'm not wearing anything I hate the feeling of tights, stockings etc.

I wore hold ups purely as I did not want to see a suspended belt under my dress

What will you be most comfortable with? I'm wearing some spanks as they will stop my thighs rubbing together (owch) then nothing with my shoe/shoes and some trainer socks for under my converse ones. Will be July so don't want anything more as else will boil

And I never wanted to mess about with tights purely because I knew my dress would be bad enough trying to attempt going to the toilet in.
I'm actually thinking hold ups. I don't want to be faffing about with tights trying to go to the bathroom and don't really like the idea of a suspender belt under the dress. I can always make sure I've got a spare pair just in case. Would anybody notice if I wore flesh coloured ones or would white ones be better (if I can get them)?

I think flesh coloured ones would be ok. Wear what your more comfortable in.

I'm going for hold ups. They are easier for wearing normally and I wear them most days :)

I didn't bother with any of them, just pretty French knickers and bra. I couldn't be dealing with fussy fiddly things under my dress x

Thing is the weather in April could go either way, chucking it down with rain or absolutely roasting (I know which I'd prefer) so hold ups are probably the way to go. If it's hot I don't need to wear them.
I'm guessing I won't need them for my fitting as they won't affect how the dress 'sits' on me?
