Wedding Forum - Thank you card ideas?...

We are intending on making ours, we are going to get a photo taken with us holding the words thank you on chalk boards (or something similar)
I dont think its cheap to have postcards at all, just not sure i'd want the postman to see my photo :)

We will be doing something similar to Nicsquared. Whether we do something with the photo ourselves or get the photographer to will be dependant on money once we are back from honeymoon. Photographer has offered to take a pic of us holding a blank sheet and put in individual messages for us

Or another option is a postcard so buy lots when you go on honeymoon or postcodes of the area you got married in and send them out... save you an envolope too xx

i was thinking of getting our photographer to add thank you cards into our package, but i'm loving the idea of postcard! might have to run that by h2b and see what he thinks. We might be having a booth type set up thing in the evening so we could hold a chalk board saying thank you on it :) although perhaps taken earlier in the evening before the drinks are flowing too much lol x

We are having the lady that made our invitations make them, along the same theme as the invitation....and I like the idea of having a picture of each individual person with me and H2B on it...makes it very personal.

When we go off to have our wedding photo's done on the day, we are having one shot of us holding "Thank" & "You" on peice of paper each, we are going to print these our selfs and have little cards x

we "made" ours using vista print and some photos from the wedding. They were folded cards and came with envelopes xx

Heya, we did the same, just had 'Thank You' and our names on the front of the card and then the back was blank (we had postcard thank yous) for us to write our own message.

We just wrote something like: Thank you so much for celebrating our special day with us and for your generous gift. We had such a ball on the day and we hope you did too. It was wonderful to see you both and we look forward to catching up with you soon.

For people who gave an actual gift as opposed to money we said something like; Thank you for celebrating our special day with us and for the lovely vase. We have it on our mantlepiece and it looks gorgeous.

Just keep it simple, you know? And speak from the heart. For us personally we DID have a ball at the wedding and we hoped our guests did too!
