    I am looking at table numbers to decorate myslef and add colour to the table but wondered everyones opinions i have a choice of sizes:

    4" smaller
    8" bigger

    what do you thinks better bigger or smaller numbers?

    I think it depends on what they look like (as in shape) and what tables you're having. They need to be visible so that your guests don't have to go to each table to check the number, but also so it's not too much and taking the job of a centrepiece!

    they are just paper mache and ill paint them yellow, im having 3 hessian sacks filled with white heathers on each tables and tea lights so the number will be in the centre

    i have 4 tables to do

    I would make one in each size and see how they look. My guess is that 4 inches will be big enough, and if they're too big they'll take over, but you don't want it getting lost in the centrepiece.

    Personally I hate table numbers and prefer table names as I always feel that people on say table 10 of 10 will fell like they are less important than thos on table 3 or 4 or even 9. Like its a hierarchy. But with names they have nothing to tell them, as they are all different

    There are only 4 tables and we have mixed both family and friends together as I have a bigger family. It's the only way to sneak a little more colour in there
