haha i wore some under my dress at our engagement party, told/showed all my friends, and said start as i mean to go on, dont want him thinking it'll be a future of sexy undies lol.
But i didnt show or tell him lol, i will be wearing for the wedding and then if im not to tired and hes lucky, i will change at the end of the evening x

I wore them (well cheap version from Primarni) under my BM dress last year at my sisters wedding (I'm a size 8-10) but only because whatever undies I wore I was getting major VPL and nothing worked, not even the non-VPL seamless knickers worked! These were my last and final attempt and saved me from going commando ;)

Yep hun, totally pull you in, proper ones can take you down a dress size I believe. The cheepy ones I bought were more smoothing than shrinking. x

yeah i had some they werent my size they were two sizes bigger and yet they felt like they were cutting my circulation in my legs!! i had to take them off i found they just pushed my weight else where and make my legs look weird.

im seriously considering buying a pair of these as i have been going to the gym now for 1 year and i just cannot for the life of me seem to shift the baby weight from when i was pregnant and on medication during pregnancy which didnt help.

Hun, a 10/12 is not big. If you're not stuggling to get them on and off and therefore will be comfortable in them all day then I say go for it! Just make sure you whip them off in the bathroom before new hubby sees them if you know what I mean ;)

I have every need to wear spanx but I didn't, my reasoning was it was going to be hard enough going to the loo in my dress without having to inch myself and squirm out of spanx.

mrs brown i was given mine by my boss at work she had some and didnt want them as she had bought the thong version and had never worn these full on shorts ones.
they were a size 16 and im a 12-4 and well they were soo uncomfortable!! haha!!

before your day ask the venue if they have a disabled toilet :P having watched the film 27 dresses i have thought of nothing but the need to pee everytime i try on a dress and i think i will wear my lumps and bumps proudly, any dress is hard to pee in so with a white (ish) dress im not chancing it x

I thought about wearing spanx but then thought it would be an issue when going to the toilet so I am going for a Bridal corset which pulls me in at the waist/hips and gives what I believe will look like a good body line and shall be buying some white leggings that my mum is going to turn into some shorts for me and will be easier to pull up and down when needing the loo.
I hate going without anything on my legs under a dress and thought tights I would get too hot in.

I bought some gok wan shapewear and I own spanx but not wearing any of them under my dress as it really doesn't need it all. I would try dresses on and find the one you want before you buy underwear as mine was just a waste of £50!

My dress has so much amazing corsetry built in that I'm not wearing a bra or anything on top. i'm gonna wear some silk shorts probably with suspenders though... Thing is, I plan on putting on a going away outfit before I leave our venue so will put on the sexy pants then! Hahaha! Spanx are amazing and I wear them under body con dresses all the time for shape/smoothing... I don't know if I would have worn them with my wedding dress as I don't see the need with the style (Nicola Anne Sardinia) as it just pulls you in anyway... And I probably wouldn't have chosen a dress that hadn't got sufficient corsetry anyway!!!

I'm not, for a few reasons.
1) I'm a size 8, and though I have a bit of a tummy, it's not that bad
2) My dress has an in-built steel-boned corset, and boy does that baby suck me in!
3) I think it would be SO awkward going to the loo; it'll be bad enough dealing with my dress, without throwing tight control underwear into the mix!
When I was a bit bigger (size 12) I was very conscious of my tummy and did wear tummy control pants sometimes, but I found them such a faff when going to the loo, so even if 1) and 2) didn't apply (ie I was bigger and my dress didn't have the corset built-in), I still wouldn't wear them. But, that's just me! I'm all about comfort lol

On our 3rd date I wore a nice wrap dress and I had to wear spanx to smooth over my mummy tummy. I remember going to his for a coffee (nothing more, I'm a good girl lol). So as happens on 3rd dates generally we ended up having a little kiss and a cuddle on the sofa. I forgot about the spanx! He still asked me on a forth date after knowing I wore GIANT pants, so he's definitely the one lol.

On holiday I put my spanks on under my maxi dress to took some lumps and bumps in and after eating and two drinks I had to take them off I felt sick and I could not have had another drink. I said to mat 'if I put them on every meal time I might lose weight' this was because they where that tight oops x

I currently wear these short /legging things under all my skirts/dresses which have pretty lace at bottoms (comes to about an inch or 2 above my knee) my mum calls them bloomers, but they are spanky type material as else my legs rub together and is really quite painful !
Met June 2009 on my Birthday,Met again July 2009 and got
