    SYN FREE BBQ SAUCE
    BBQ sauce recipe

    you will need
1 onion, peeled and roughly chopped
    1 tsp mild chilli powder
    227ml/8fl oz passata
    3 tbsp artifical sweetner
    4 tbsp balsamaic vinegar
    1 tbsp worchestershire sauce

salt and freshly ground black pepper.

balslmic vingar and worchestershire sauce provide the basis for this great tasting bbq sauce thsat is perfect for a dip, basting a chicken thighs or vegetable kebabs before a bbq, lady who gave me this recipe said she has them on spare ribs and cooks them in the oven so she has bbq spare ribs.

spray a pan with fry light and saute the onion and chilli powder over a low heat for 5 minutes until softened.

stir in the remaining ingrredients, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes untill thickened. check the seasoning before serving hot or cold.

    Something I'm eating now.

Get yourself a rice cooker with steamer, they're quite cheap. Then marinade meat or fish in whatever flavour you want, mi use soy sauce, oyster sauce, a bit of sesame oil, and a dash of white pepper. Pop chicken in the steamer basket with some vegetables of your choice, I use pak choi and Chinese leaf. Steam over the rice. Everything cooks at the same time in one pot. Easy and tasty. The meat and vegetable juices drip into the rice flavouring it x

BBQ pulled pork - totally yummy

1.5-2kg pork shoulder, all fat removed
    5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp mustard powder
    500g passata
    3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    2 cloves of garlic, crushed
    3 tbsp sweetener
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    method

In a small bowl, mix passata, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweetener and seasoning. Transfer to a small pan and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Meanwhile, trim and remove all visible fat from the pork and sear all sides in a hot frying pan sprayed with low calorie cooking spray. Transfer to a roasting tin lined with aluminium foil and pour the sauce over the pork making sure all the meat is covered. Cover with the foil and bake on 160°C/140°C Fan for 4-5 hours.
Remove the pork from the oven and place on a cutting board. Allow the meat to cool for approximately 15 minutes, then shred into bite-sized pieces using two forks.

Tip: Chef's tip: Serve with homemade coleslaw, Slimming World-style sweet potato chips in 60g wholemeal rolls.

Oh, and here's my recipe contribution!

It's a really tasty low fat beef stroganoff:

    1 cup nonfat milk
4 oz reduced fat sour cream
    1 tsp garlic
    1 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp parsley
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1 cup beef broth
    1 packet onion soup mix
    4 g cornstarch
    1 cup egg noodles
    1 lb lean ground beef
    Directions

Combine all spices into a mixture. Brown ground beef and drain off any fat.
Add noodles, spice mix, milk and beef broth.
Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, until liquid is absorbed.
Stir in sour cream, mix thoroughly, then serve.
