So, due to a trapped nerve in my hip the dr has signed me off as unfit for work, so im now off until the 28th march.

Most people would be happy to have a rest, but i love my job! and i have very little money left to shop and do wedding suff, am waiting for dresses etc to arrive....got a funeral next thursday which is my 1 yr to go date and we had planned on marking the occassion by giving notice, now we obviously wont be :(
Feels like this week of boredom laying ahead of me as everyone is telling me to rest! Arg!!

My one and only job is to write the addresses on envelopes and send out the STDs which we meant to do last month but there has been one thing after another and they are still sat here.....so i have envelopes and stamps... just need to drag it out to last a week :(

I cant even go to the gym coz it hurts so much, and am literally forcing myself to watch what i eat coz its so easy to comfort eat out of boredom!!!

I know how you feel. I got signed off unfit nearly three years ago and within a week I was going stir crazy. Its not like you are fit enough to go out and enjoy your time off work. The OU has kept me going and keeping the brain active. UK bride has also been a welcome distraction as well as making things for the wedding. Could you start to make some of your other bits and bobs for the day? Do some research for the wedding? Find suppliers etc?

Also I know this will hurt but if you can lay on your back and with your knees bent and then sway them from side to side. (you don't have to go all the way over just what you can do) as it will help to loosen up the nerve. Also another one if you can manage it is to lift one leg up at a time bent then try to lift the bottom part of your leg level and then drop it again as this also helps to stretch the nerve. Its what the physio had me doing and it does help over time.

I am doing 2 courses with the OU and will probably be about 6 months a head or something stupid by the end of the week. The kids are at school and h2b is at work so im in the house on my own with instructions not to clean :( (he didnt argue when i told him i would make him a beef stew for dinner though lol)

Not much i can do at the moment for the wedding other than std, everything is pretty much done its just a matter of paying things off now really.
