I have woken up this morning with the flu (headache, chills,vomitting the lot) on top of a fractured rib. I have asked to be sent home from work but was told no by my collegue as she wants to head home @ 4:30 and if i go home it means there is no1 to cover for the other 30mins. So i was wondering if anyone has any remedies that could help me, please

no remedies but make sure you sneeze on her...that would make feel slightly better!!!! lol. Say I can't work like this I'm going home!!!! xx

If your vomiting, surely you can't stay at work because of infection? Go higher up the chain of command!

lol that would be funny - i wish i could go home coz i feel like sh it but apparently its in our contract that there must be at least 1 person working between the hours on 8:30 and 5:00

not your problem, it's her's. Just go home hunni. You will only make yourself worse. then call to the doctors and get a sick note, they can't argue about it then. xx

What would they of done if you had of phoned in sick hun? They would of had to of dealt with it then! Throw up in your bin right in front of your boss, bet they would send you home then! Sorry your feeling so poorly hun BIG HUGS! x x x

Plenty water and eat little and often. Pain killers and some Vicks!
