Roxy sorry only just seen your comment I got them of the bay of e if you search for felt birds. I asked her to do a custom order she hadn't done cake toppers before! There are many different styles you can have so take a look, she will tailor them to suit you.

Love the birdcage cake saw one at a wedding fayre at the weekend so clever!

Omg. My mum made our cake for us, and decided to do our life story in cake - 6 cakes in all, over 4 tiers - the bottom tiers showed our childhood, so she painted a picture of the chippy I grew up in, and hubby's dad's hotel where he grew up - she also did our school badges, and local landmarks of the places we grew up - so as I grew up in Liverpool, there were the Liverpool and Everton football badges, and the two Liverpool cathedrals on the side. In between these cakes was a light up water fountain with a frog and bulrushes by the side - the next tier was us at uni so she made us in graduation gowns, with our uni badges and hobbies - so for him she did his local cricket club, I used to work at the Disney Store so she did the logo etc - he proposed on the Golden Gate Bridge, so she built this to link the two cakes, with the San Francisco Bay river underneath with a mini Alcatraz island - then the next tier up was a heart shaped cake with Chinese wedding decorations and proverbs, and a chinese dragon and phoenix, and the one above that was a Western style wedding cake with a traditional bride and groom which she matched to our actual wedding outfits and flowers! Top two tiers were fruit, bottom four were plain sponge with lemon buttercream and lime curd - all decorations including dolls, flowers etc were hand made from sugarpaste - the only thing she didn't make was the water fountain!!

I am absolutely overawed at the amount of effort your mum put in. Those are a work of art, am so so so impressed!!!

I went to see my cake designer the other week she was so lovely. She's a award winning cake maker and I was so worried abut her being snobby.. But she was so down to earth and excited about taking on my dream cake... It's going to be massive in all it's a 7 teir cake staring off 24" 20" 16" 12" 10" 8" and 6". It going to be nearly four foot tall.
We are having different flavours to include lemon, chocolate, orange and ginger fruit cake, and plain sponge.

It's costing over 1000 pounds which nearly sent my mum a wee loopy but after she tried the lemon cake she was busy trying to add more teirs hahaha cannot wait : D

Bridalmiss your cake really is the cake of all cakes!! Your mum must have put so much time into it with all that amazing detail! :)

We'd like two cakes - one cheesecake with a different flavour for each tier, and one cheese cake for anyone who doesn't have a sweet tooth :) Topped with the heart shaped cheese :)

ECO FREAK - would u mind sharing on my wall what you paid for your diving cake topper? I am keen to surprise my other half with something diving related and that would be perfect! (didn't find nudibranchs in your searches by chance did you!!! :))

We are not having the flowers, just fresh fruit and ivy around the bottom tier. We are also having a tree slice cake stand :D

My cake is in my album, we are having 4 tiers with chocolate, with a cat and 2 dogs on the cake with bride and groom and some orange calla lillys.

This is what H2B and I are having with ivory ribbon and lace around the base of each of the 4 tiers and then a double cake board for the base sitting on a dummy cake with ribbon around it for the cake base.

The 4 tiers will be bottom lemon, next up chocolate, next up vanilla and top tier to keep is fruit.

Kelly D - your cake is so pretty, are you having that many tiers? My cake maker said i should jhave 4 tiers even tho theres only 40 daytime and 40 nightime guests

im really wanting a 5 tier cake but h2b thinks we should just have a 2 tier i dunno i have had prices though 250.00 for four tier and 350.00 for 5 tier so not bad will upload when im a power user of all my bits xx

Thanks Princess2be - it was mainly H2B's choice, all I knew was that I wanted the roses between the tiers, H2B chose the number of tiers, the shape of the cakes, the trim at the base of each tier, the double board base, the dummy cake for the stand lol, and they say men aren't interested in weddings!
