I' like the idea of different tiers being a different flavour- ohs aunt said she will make ours- one layer will be fruit cake with Mazipan as oh loves this- I hate it- then think we might have 1 layer carrot cake and one vanilla-if we go for 4th then chocolate or coffee and walnut

We haven't worked out the flavours yet as we only booked the cake lady Sunday from a wedding fayre, but this is the design of the cake we're going for. I will be substituting the silver for a vintage pink to fit our theme.

Thank you - it literally jumped out at me at the wedding fair!!! The lady who owns the design and is doing the cake wasn't at all pushy unlike some of the others there, didn't pounce and had all of her cakes priced, which made me decide to book her that day. We're going to change the silver to match our vintage pink colour scheme, but I just love the design too - too good to eat!!!

Mentioned about cake to OH the other day, he seems happy with a personalised c0stc0 cake. Well get a print from the ceremony and have that on the cake.
I would love a wonderful tiered creation but I don't see the point as we are just having a party and don't have the money to spare!

Probably Steph! Will be saving the top tier for the christening of our first child
I'm lucky enough that a friend of future father in law is a professional cake maker so is doing it as her wedding present to us so it is costing us all of £70 (the approx cost per guest at the wedding)

This was our cake, we were very luck to have my mil to make it for us :). She did a amazing job it was 5 tiers but the top one was fake. The bottom tier was fruit cake and the rest were madeira cake.

Our cake will be a total surprise. We've gone with the L1ttl3 Ch3rry C@k3 C0mp@ny - We're giving them a budget, our colour scheme and some ideas of what we like/what the rest of the day will be like and they're going to design and make a cake for us!
A lot of their designs are amazing and quite special so we're hoping for something colourful and unconventional!

The bottom tier was white chocolate and raspberry, middle tier was ombre vanilla and top tier salted caramel, all covered in a white chocolate ganache. We put the salted caramel tier in the fridge last night to defrost, can't wait to eat it - the other tiers were really yummy!!!

Our cake wedding topper wont be anything fancy, but ive asked for a labyrinth worm one blue and one pink. (for those who dont know what a labyrinth worm is here>

i think i have decided on a three tier cake, not sure on fillings/flavours yet though.
i want the bottom tier to be hand piped roses like this

I'm making our cake!!

5 tiers, bottom chocolate fruit cake, second chocolate truffle, third lemon, fourth Victoria sponge and last one a tiny gluten free fruit for me!
Can't wait to get started got it planned down to the hour for the days leading up to the wedding
