Ok this might be a silly question but I'm having my dress altered tomorrow and it has a medium trail just wondering if the front should touch the floor or just be slighlty off? Don't want it dragging round and getting dirty outdoors but don't want it to look too short.
    Help! X

I had the same question and I asked my mum, she said there needs to be a little gap but it shouldn't be noticeable. Opinions might be different but I think I will have mine not touching the ground as it makes it a little easier to walk in :)

My dress literally skims the floor. Any longer and I would trip over my dress!

I had mine so it was skimming the floor in flats. I had heels that I wanted to show off during the day, but knew that I would want flats later on so I had it so my heels could be seen, but my flats could not. I didn't trip over it at all (although hubby stepped on it during the first dance)

Mine is a little longer than skimming the floor, I wanted it to be on the floor, but being chiffon, I don't trip over it. You should have it how you want it though xx

Mine skimmed the floor so I could walk without lifting it up but not run.

I got told by the first wedding dress shop I went into that the front shouldn't touch the floor, but not by much. I cant remember the reason she gave, I think it might have just been so you wouldn't walk on it. I am going to have mine touching the floor. x
