Hiya lovely ladies could you please help me out ?
I decided that as i am having a lot of bridesmaids varying in age from just turned 1 to 48 and all different body shapes and sizes that i would allow them to pick their own style of bridesmaid dress as long as it is in the hot pink colour of my wedding theme ,up until today i was happy about this and confident that this would look really nice until my aunty said to me "er wouldn't it look nicer if they were all dressed the same it might look untidy !!!!
i am now sitting here scratching my head thinking of what to do ,i know they won't look untidy as the dresses are all very nice and suit there owner .I have 3 little ones who will be matching due to their age but only because they will want to run around but now my confidence has been knocked .
Is anyone else doing anything similar any feedback would be greatfully recieved

Ive seen pictures of bridemaids who have worn different style dresses and it looks really nice. The only thing that would concern me is that the pinks might not match x

I'm only having two bm's, both adults but I'm doing the same. Insisting on the colour but leaving the style up to them. I am also insisting the length be similar. But at the end of the day it is your wedding and if you like what has been chosen then it doesn't matter!

i havent sorted my BM dresses yet but i have a smilar problem. Although my maids are all a similar age, they range in height from 5'1 to 5'9 and a size 6 to a busty size 14. they are all gorgeous and i want them to feel that way on the day, therefore if one would prefer a halter neck, strapless etc then i would be happy for them to have that. as long as the colours are the same shade then i don't mind if they vary in style. i am also letting them pick their own shoes as long as they are silver as then every can pick a comfortable heel height for themselves. it is too easy to get wrapped in things being too matchy matchy when to be honest things can look just as nice with a little variation! xx

    i have 5 bm's (3, 8, 11, 14 and 16) and im having 3 different dresses in the same colour. (on profile)
I think if your happy with what they pick and the colour is the same then it will look nice. Dont let others knock your confidence babe. Your day your way!

I think as long as the dresses are in the same fabric (pref the same roll if being made) and the same shade it can look fab..adds real interest to the look of the wedding party...

I think it will look great, maybe do something like a sash or corsage for each of them though just to tie it all in.

My bridesmaids are mother and daughter so I thought it would be silly to dress them the same. My sister is 37 and will be wearing the cream dress and my niece is 14 and is wearing the gold dress. The flowers will be gold and ivory so will tie the dresses together. At least I hope they will.

I dont know if you've heard of this, but a friend of mine found a website that you can literally design your dress and they cost from £60, you can gt your friends to choose the style you want and then they are all made in the same fabric. I'll pop it on your wall
