we're getting married on 31st August 2014......ive been reading comments on other discussions about brides getting anxious and stressed with 18-24 months to go .......now I am feeling like I am missing something?!
    Church is booked....
Venue booked (still details to finalise)
BM dresses bought - they have got their own shoes.....am I meant to get them bags?
hair and makeup - not sorted
    flowers - in discussion
my dress bought - alterations start in july
invitations : DIY and not finished yet
    Wedding website up and ready
honeymoon website up and ready (as gift list)
    honeymoon booked
me : still no shoes, jewellery, bag, underwear
have no idea how to have my hair - whether to wear a veil or not??
Suits - not picked - not ordered!
transport : have 2 cars off OH BM's husbands dad: but I think we need another one
Need to decide on guest transport too
My dad is doing the main photos as he is a photographer: with guests taking some too.
Videographer : will be a camcorder handed among guests
favours bought : still need sweets
table planner etc still to make

Am I missing something?? Should I be more worried?? having never done this before I don't know whether I am on track or whether I should be panicking that its less than 6 months away?!

    any advice :-)

I don't see why you should be panicking hun - Im not. It sounds like you've got everything in check - there's only so much you can do until nearer the time. I want our day to be as stress free as possible - but then we're only having a small, laid back do - no wedding breakfast, no speeches (apart from a quick thank you for coming type thing). I still have no idea how to do my hair and probably won't have until I go to the hairdressers on the day!!! I still have no underwear/jewellery etc, we still haven't booked suits, but like you we've picked them. I think at this stage it's a bit like no mans land - too early to do a lot of things. Exciting times ahead ;-) xx

cheers Fran :-) the suits haven't actually been picked - that's H2Bs department and of course being a man is more laid back about the whole thing than I am happy about! lol x

Ha I know that feeling!! He's setting up his own business at the moment which is taking up most of his time - he's happy to let me go with what I want. We did have a good night this week though playing songs which we like for the entrance, signing of the register and first dance etc - so he is looking forward to it. Think his opinion is, he just wants us to get married - not bothered about the rest of it!! xx

The only thing I can add is if you're not sure about a veil, try a few when you start having dress alterations done. For my mams wedding she got her underwear from HoFraser but you could try neXt and for shoes there too. Also, I'm not bothering with transport for guests, just OH and his groomsmen. X

A lot of my friends have said they're surprised i'm not stressing yet. Everything is nearly sorted, so why should i be?
Don't panic just because people say you should be. This is going to be the best day of your life! Enjoy every second of it, planning and all! Xx
