Also.. I will be asking everyone to pay their own way. For those who did the same, how did you approach the subject? I'm not sure if the girls would be expecting me to pay for it..

My chief BM has a secret fb group going now and apparently planning is now in full swing. Phew! So excited! Definitely in Bristol, I think they are debating between 1 or 2 nights and she was looking at some sort of silly dance class as she said she had to check with pregnant friend how much she wantd to do :)

Hey Flossie, that sounds nice, i love Bath and MrsK Bristol !! yaye, i lived in brizz for a couple of years.. love it , miss it actually, but its not too far away which im very pleased about ! I cant imagine anyone thinking the bride will be paying for any hen doo activities . I have been on a fair few , never with bride paying for anything.. Im glad I have mine sorted now, everyone coming down here , twas a toss up between Ibiza, Croatia festival or uk festy, but works out really expensive , silly prices for uk festival with boutique camping is like £400 each .. crazy.. so decided to bring Ibiza and festivals to me !! I live near gorgeous turquoise sea, and we have a fab local festival on up the road for about 2000 peeps and can buy a day ticket rather than whole weekend, so we hiring a house/cottage near where i live, the Friday will have meal out in the harbour then going on a speed boat out to watch the sunset with some champagne then back to the harbour then jumping on a boat party ! nearest i will get to Ibiza :) then the following day going to the festival for the day and eve and don't have to sleep in a tent as house will be nearby !! yaye, result.... very excited and pleased i have dates set and a plan ! i presume the sunday will be sorting out any hangovers with brunch then everyone will go home.. eeeek so excited.. :)

mine is next Friday, I'm going to Butlins in Skegness for the 90s Reloaded weekend. I've wanted to do it for aaaaaggges now and my hen seemed like a good excuse to go!

@Flossie - I have asked my girls to pay for themselves. I invited everyone and just put in the invite that I appreciate that it was quite expensive and that I'd rather they were all honest and said no than either get in debt/struggle or string me along as we needed to get the numbers sorted. They've all been fine with it, a few dropped out because of the price but I totally understand that. I'm having a local night out for those that can't attend but still want to celebrate as well which they've all said would be nice. I'd personally find it a bit cheeky if all my girls wanted me to pay for them but then again there are 13 of us so it would soon have mounted up!

We are having a tack night on the Friday (tutus etc), Saturday is fancy dress and I'm going as Ace Ventura, and then on the Sunday we are off out in our PJs. As for during the days I have no idea what is happening and I don't know how we are actually getting there or what is in store as my BMs and mum have taken over. I'm a little scared! haha x

Well my hen night is changing we are still going to Blackpool but now doing our own arrangements rather than going with national.
we are hiring a mini bus with driver on the Friday night we are doing a 3 course Italian meal followed by going out t pubs, then on the Saturday we are going to the tower dungeons and madame tussauds , then doing 1970's fancy dress for the Saturday night, so looking forward to my hen weekend not long now. xx

Has anyone else had a male friend on their hen night? I'm not really sure what to do, (I don't want any strippers or to go on a pub/club crawl, it's just not my thing) and thinking that spa weekends/night is a bit too girly. I have a best man, so I want him to come obviously. Any ideas? Got a long while to figure it out yet, but I'm a bit stumped outside of just having a BBQ and getting a bit tipsy lol.

I think I have decided what I want to do for my hen now!! (Thanks to AH posting about hers)

Weekend in Brighton.. do a 'Coyote Ugly Experience' day where you do a class during the day and learn a routine then perform it on the bar during the evening! Sounds amazing and as all 5 of us are dancers it would be absolutely perfect!! I've bounced the idea off them and had responses from 3 of them who are so up for it! Would probably do that on the Saturday, stay over at a cheapy hotel, breakfast the next day followed by a bit of shopping and maybe visit a spa or have afternoon tea on Sunday or Saturday morning.

Only thing is they ask for a minimum payment of 10 people (at £30 each) but I've just checked out some reviews of the bar and someone did a pole dancing class with only 5 people and worked out a deal with the bar to include food and extra drinks etc. so hoping they would be able to do the same for me!

As soon as we set a date for our wedding our stag and hen nights were set in stone, we're going to re-hash our pre-child xmas eve traditions. h2b always used to have a mans day shooting in the morning followed by a massive fry up and in the evening a gammon roast and a poker night. My MOH and I always used to work xmas eve day so obviously that's not going to happen but we always went out in the evening and celebrated xmas day arriving with a drink and a dance so we will be doing that just got to come up for a plan for the day time!!

My hen do plans are changing, I think we are gonna stay closer to home and go to Brighton instead. A few people dropped out and we were under minimum numbers for Bristol.
Plus this way we know the area better, and chief BM has found some more flexible packages where people can sign up for just one activity etc.

Didnt originally want a hen but think itll b a nice night out and the indian is gorgeous and not expensive at all :-) more ppl can go to here than our original plan of medieval banquet as its cheaper closer and not as late a night for any1 who needs to rush off.. theres 10 of us so far 3 more r going to let me know closer :-)

Wow - loads of you have really exciting plans!

My hen do is, I think, a little unusual.

My hens and I are going to spend a night on a ghost hunting sleepover in a decommissioned nuclear bunker in the middle of some woods. Now, I don't believe in ghosts but I do love a good bit of storytelling. 2 of my best friends are crazy about the show 'Most Haunted' so they're very excited. I have no idea what's involved in ghost hunting and it'll be hard for me to keep a straight face in front of anyone there who's taking it seriously.

Being locked in an underground bunker overnight with 5 easily scared women may sound like the stuff of horror movies, but I reckon it'll be a right laugh! I just need to work out how to sneak in some champagne...

Ok so I think I'm decided what I want to do for my hen now.. just thinking of having a weekend away somewhere close to bars and restaurants etc. so we can just let our hair down and do whatever... Looking at rentals in Bath, Cheltenham and London - one of my bms lives in London anyway so might make sense to do London then she can get there easily, and everyone else can travel together from Swindon. Wouldn't cost too much on the train and very easy to get there :)

I've found a few options but no idea how I'm going to decide. I was thinking of just telling the girls we're going for a weekend away, tell them the dates I can do and then leave the rest up to them. Then I will also have the surprise factor and they can get much more involved - also one less thing for me to worry about organising. What do you think? xx
