What with h2b going from weekly pay to monthly and me not working anymore money seems to be extremely tight to say the least.
I know once we get the first monthly payment through we will be fine its just in the mean time everything seems to be getting behind. My rent is now a month behind which my land lord was lovely about and agreed to add a bit on each month till the missing month is paid off but it just seems to be i sort one problem another one pops up. :-(

I am seriously considering putting the wedding off for a year and doing it then when all this will HOPEFULLY be sorted and something else wont crop up.
Need to talk to h2b when he gets home i think, really dont want to and it will upset the kids. But at the moment i really cant see it happening as we seem to be doing everything ourselves with no offers of help either financially or otherwise and i REALLY dont like to ask :-(

Thanks babe it seems to be getting to be at the mo :-(
H2b will come home and make everything alright im sure lol it just seems its bill after bill after bill at the mo. Ive managed to pay half of the deposit for venue but that was 14th feb and i still havent managed the other half yet. So just worried its gonna be lost because of that, hopefully not as we have at least made half of it but you never know they might turn round and say sorry you took to long :-(

I have babe but that was the end of feb and its may now. They can only wait so long, just hoping nobody wants our date otherwise they prob will say no to us and get their deposit in full.
Like i said tho next month is his first monthly pay so fingers crossed it will be sorted by then its just at the mo getting £60 a week (25% of his wage the rest will make up his first monthly pay, very complicated to explain) is gettin g to me lol

I'm sure everything will be fine hun but I know how pants it is when your paying it all out on your own we are the same although we have been quite lucky living with my parents meant we didn't have any bills etc so we could afford to put that wee bit extra away every month to cope with paying it all on our own. I'm sure once H2B gets his 1st monthly wage and you get yourselfs back on your feet that it will all work out and H2B will probably come home and give you some words of encouragement and a great big cuddle to make you feel better!! Don't postpone anything yet just wait and see what happens xx

Hi Hails, I think it is worth talking to your venue. We have paid our deposit today and the rest is now not due until 2 weeks before the wedding. This seemed to be reasonably standard practice when we were looking round. We will be paying a bit every month to help us with budgeting but they have no expectations of that.
I wouldn't postpone just yet - see how you go for a couple more months - we are having to pay for everything over 7 months as we weren't sensible enough to give ourselves longer!! Things are tight but we just keep working through things bit by bit. See how your H2B's pay works out first. As someone said there is always something but somehow we all seem to get through! It is amazing how quickly pay day does come round - even when it seems like it is forever away. In fact I find that I can manage on virtually nothing sometimes! Harder with kids though! Best of luck with this.xx

Keep going hun, don't put it off. We put ours off 9 years ago and its taken us this long to re-book it. There will always be something that comes up that will keep you from arranging it. Main thing is you love each other so try and go ahead with your plans xx

hey hails, what about tweeaking the day slightly? if you get married at the registry office its a fraction of the cost! if you speak to the venue they might knock a bit of money off the venue hire as well because you are not using it as long. Its ridiculous the registrar fees, its just over £100 to get married in the office, coming out to you costs over £400. i could pay for a taxi for them for less than that! Tut at the registrars!
