Wedding Forum - Sept 2014 brides!!!...

Had a nightmare yesterday tho, was meant to have my first alteration appointment, pick my dress up from the shop and go to the shops alteration lady at home to be told she's not bk off holiday til today (bearing in mind she had made my appointment when I rang her so surely you'd know when ur back) went a bit nuts as only three weeks til the wedding and my dress is massive so it's a big job, I know it only needs taking up but I got very stressed and told the shop it wasn't very professional!

I'm in a real panic today as I start training for my new job on 1st September and found out today it's for two weeks and not the one week I originally thought, so I don't finish until 4.30pm the day before the wedding! Fortunately most of my appointments and wedding rehearsal in the days before are on an evening so I don't have to rearrange them, and will just have to pick my dress up earlier in the week than the day before. H2B will have to be in change of anything wedding related for the 2 weeks before so I'm frantically trying to get things finished in the next 11 days! Order of service is now finished anyway, so can print them all out next week and going to be spending the rest of this week washing and decorating jam jars by the looks of things! I need to start delegating jobs! X

I'm going somewhere else now today...the place I got my bridesmaid dresses done at...excited!
The alterations woman keeps trying to ring me ( I think to book in) but I've been ignoring it...think she needs to speak to the shop!

it randomly hit me last night that we were getting married and now i am bricking it hahahaha

will be going to the venue on the 28th or there abouts to finalise everything as well!!!

im getting last minute drop outs (which can't be helped either) but i can't help but feel really annoyed about it myself arghhhh

there was one before i did the seating plan which was ok, then i had one last week and another two a couple of days ago, and found out yesterday that two more might not be able to yet they will let us know in a week.... urgh. Again, can't be helped, but I need to re-do my bloody seating plan

Hi Ladies... Not long left now!

We've had a few people drop out last minute but I'm not going to stress about it (although I did when I heard about the first one haha). It's a pain but I'm just thinking that everything will be fine as long as me and OH are there on the day :)

Everything's paid for now (phew!); Favours have all been made (tea lights and ceramic hearts), collected my hairband last Saturday... I can not wait to wear it! Still not had my make up trial yet but not too worried because I know how I'm having it anyway, same with hair. Have my last (hopefully) dress fitting booked for tomorrow. Ordered our 'thank you' sign today and will have that by next Thursday. It's going so fast! Xx

That's a good point bev here's me panicking if anymore drop out the atmosphere won't be great but you've got it bang on there! Is anyone doing there own make up? When I had my trial I wasn't 100% happy and everyone keeps saying it looks better when I do it myself. Not sure if I want the stress of having to do anything myself on the day I just want to chill. Have got another trial next Saturday to make some changes so will see how that goes. Got a dress fitting this morning praying that it fits and it'll just be length that needs doing am so scared about going and had nightmares last night about it being too small. Two weeks today for us and I cannot contain myself! Everything's paid except stuff that needs paying on the day (make up and hair) all gifts are wrapped and labelled, all church stuff is organised, all suppliers know what they're doing so just a case of waiting now....... x

Typical lads stag weekend then! Glad he had a good time.. I feel ill just reading about it haha. It's nice that you've been able to see the pictures and the videos as well x

Found out from some pics that were uploaded that h2b had been smoking all weekend when he quit two years ago and promised me he wouldn't pick another up...and he didn't tell me he'd been doing it either, and made out it was no big deal. Well I've gone schizo mad fuming gutted upset been crying for a bit, told h2b this is the worst thing he's done to me since we got together...I'm absolutely outraged! Then for his friends to say it's no big deal, it's his stag do, he could do worse,ur making him out to be a kid....well I blew my top then as most of them smoke,have tried to quit before and failed so I very fairly stuck up for myself!
Yes he could have done worse but I feel very letdown by this and the fact he hadn't told me before shows he was trying to hide it! Maybe I'm hormonal cos of pregnancy, but I really think I'm right and I'm very upset by this especially with a baby coming last thing health wise we need is him sparking up again!
He even claimed it was no big deal...but had told me he would prefer on my hen do if I didn't go on stage at the Adonis in Newcastle which I didn't out of respect to his wishes ... Yet he didn't respect me enough with this.
He claims only cos of drinking but I've said he's never done it on nights out since he quit so was a lame arse excuse, his friends know he quit so I'm disappointed in them too.... Told h2b I don't wanna see him tonight ... Just got to think of what I can use as a punishment now!
I feel a little heartbroken tbh

Omg its soo scary now how close it is!! I really hope nothing goes wrong on the day...I'm a glass half empty kind of person so will always imagine the worst!
My latest thought is 'what happens if my zip on my dress breaks on the day?' . anyone else having ridiculous thoughts like that?

Everything will be fine ladies :) and even if something does happen to go wrong, you will still have the BEST day ever. If something does happen to go wrong you just need to think about the reason why you are actually there - because you are marrying the love of your life. :)

I haven't spoken to him since tues... Last night was awkward as I had my hair trial so my house was very quiet when I got bk, I think he kept the girls up so he wouldn't get it!

id be pi$$ed kel, but dont let it put a downer on your plans! Have you spoken to him about it or did you go off on one i dont mean that in a bad way, i just mean did you get mad and shout at him and havent actually spoke about how it made you feel? especially as you respected his wishes on your hen do and he has been a hypocrite. Hope you have calmed down, Ive been on one the last few days, poor tom has really copped for it and he hasnt even done anything wrong!

How was the hair trial?

Went to the venue today, everything is pretty much finalised, she is just itemising the final balance and sending that back over, think we will be in credit as well, which will go toward the champagne for toasting, good times

I've spoke about it with him tonight when I got bk from work at 8.20 and he understands how much of a big deal I think it is ... I just said I hope he's prepared for my post baby hen do, planning newcastle again, Adonis again then gonna send him lots of pictures of me on stage and I can drink then too lol
Shoulda seen his face lol...told him it's his own fault lol x

two weeks today!
