Wedding Forum - Sept 2014 brides!!!...

Oh so ya, that's a lovely colour. I've bought one but my h2b thinks it's too orange (it's a coral colour)...

Not been on here for ages! Got a call from our venue last night to arrange our finalising meeting and she wanted to do it 26 July, but that's myself hen do weekend, so we're there on the 2 august EXCITED,!!

Finally finished my table runners & did an inventory can not believe how much we have for the set up of the venue :)

bought the flower girl dresses yesterday :D

i put a poem in our invites
we are senfing out this invitation
and hope you will join our celebration
if to send a gift is your intention
in modesty we would like to mention
we already have a kettle and a toaster
crockery, dinner mats and coasters
so rather than something we already got
we would prefer money for our saving pot
but most importantly, we request
that you turn up as our wedding guest.

Lovely poem Vicky, how scared is everyone getting now?!! Im really excited, h2b is worried about speech but other than that neither of us can wait! As we get closer I am so pleased we were so organised and started planning early.

Oh no are they not getting back to you Velcro? Ideal if you could have less tables as like you say it's less cost with centre pieces! We had to up ours, were having a small wedding but had to add a table due to extra guests being added by my mum! Which I didn't mind as we had a few nos so could have been worse! Do you know what you're doing for your hen do Kel?! I loved mine and get really sad it finished so quickly! Already planning to go bk to Cardiff! Would highly recommend the company we booked with too! x

I'm doing a cocktail masterclass as part of mine too! Going to York for mine. I'm having a spa day with my MOH on 15th August, then cocktail masterclass, meal and drinks with the girls on the 16th and then a day at the beach on the 17th with Uni friends who are coming up specially. I can't wait! Xx

Mines the same weekend as yours joey and we nearly did York too so would be in the same town on same weekend lol! Newcastle was coming up a lot cheaper though plus we like the nights out there

Aggh this countdown timer is terrifying! 7 weeks?! When did that happen?! It's come round sooooo fast!

Kelbel, that would have been amazing! Haha! Newcastle was actually my 2nd choice as it's like my second home but York worked out cheaper for me.

We still have loads to sort out and pay for but we'll get there! Had my hair trial on Friday and have make up trial, first dress fitting and engagement shoot in the first week of August. Have lost nearly all the weight I wanted to lose which is good, and have my invitations out (at last!) and wedding website finished. I've got the male atttendents' gifts still to buy and we're going to the cash and carry next weekend to buy all the sweets for our sweet table! (Beyond excited about that!)

Vicky, We've done a timeline for our day but it's only an estimate as our reception's in a village hall with no wedding coordinator, separate evening guests or anything, so it's all a bit up in the air really! The only thing we're sure if is the time of the ceremony! Xx

We've only actually got the food to pay for and the hotel the night before and after that's it, bound to be something that comes up....

Argh! Everyone seems so much more organised than me!

I'm still waiting on loads of evening RSVPs but did give the 31st July as the date, I just get impatient!

Need to sort the table plan and give it to the lady writing it in caligraphy on the mirror we've gotten for it. Meeting with florist and photographer next month. Still have the venue to pay too!

Hair & make up trial is next Saturday as is my first dress fitting!! Hen do the week after. H2b is on his stag do today/tonight so won't be much use to me tomorrow!

I've paid our deposit for the hotel room, and bought the bridesmaids a little silver bracelet to go with their mirror present. X

Well we didn't go shopping in the end as we had a problem with our washing machine so honeymoon/flower girl shoe shopping next Sunday instead. Just emailed flower lady to confirm all details and venue has confirmed we will meet 16th August. Mum is paying off the venue and the photographer for us next week which leaves us to settle payments on flowers (6th August), cake (end of August) and Suits (on collection) plus i will pay for make up and hair on the day. I have the last DD payment going out next week for rings and stationary/venue dress! Church will be paid at our rehearsal and that's us all sorted! I cannot believe how its all come together, i am getting mega excited now and am very impressed with our saving. I will be a happy girly when all balances are paid and all i have to worry about is saying 'I do'!! x

Got my hair and make up trial this weekend, ended up having to find someone else after the kick off with his family, shoulda just sorted it myself in the first place as i wont throw things back in my own face lol

We still have a few bits and bobs to sort out, cake needs designing, and a few questions need answering from the venue, i miss my old event planner, she was good, this new one is abit pants. got all my centre pieces sorted just need to sort out table plan now :)

Sonya, i know what you mean, i have developed a line and i hate it, which i could squeeze summat out of the budget to sort it out

Thats exactly what Im thinking too Joey! Have been sat here since 6 sorting wedmin and thinking i wont know what to do with myself once its all over x

hi ladies :)

had my hen do on sat' and what a brill night we had!

got into leeds for about 2pm dropped bags off at double tree at Granery Warf and then over to the resturant :) had a couple of cocktails and enough meat to sink a boat. after that we decided to go and check in and drop bags off in rooms before walking up to eperanys where we had champagne tasting. brilliant afternoon with the testing including 6 full glasses of champers with cheese/busciuts & olives to soak it all up.

We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for our night out. After a quick change and "trying" to do my hair (too warm) we al met in one room where we had a drink and my BM's had bought me some gifts including an aromotherapy massage :D

back out and straight for cocktails for 9.30, lots of cocktails & LOTS of dancing was had by all and we eventually rolled back to the hotel at 2.30, had a chat and cupcake in one room and decided it was time for bed at about 3.30am!

I've not been out with the girls for so long with all the saving etc, but i had such a brill night and i felt so loved :)

now we have a run of busy weekends with finalising meeting this Sat', trying rings on next Sat and Sat after i have my first dress fitting! all systems go! EXXCITED!!!!!

I'm off to leeds for mine too Lindsay!! Can you recommend anywhere on the night? I have a spa during the day then a cocktail making class oh and lunch at Jamie's Italian.

Still chasing replies for evening!!

I have had to chase a load of people today and I cannot believe that people are so blasé! People just said 'oh I've been meaning to send it back but not had time' oh that's ok I've only got a wedding to organise, I've got loads of time to chase you all! Some people said I'll let you know by the end of next week.... err hello you've had your invite since 14th June and next week is a week after the rsvp deadline grrrrrrrrrrr!

I can at the mo, the said it would take 3-7 days for the paralysis to set in. And I've only had the bit right between my brows done so will still be able to raise my eyebrows etc, it's just the two vertical frown lines

I've got a serious case of butterflies in my tummy this morning knowing it's next month that I'm getting married! It's going to be such an amazing month as I got a job offer yesterday and I start on 1st September! They'll only have me for a week though and I'll be having 2 weeks off over the wedding! I'm so excited! It means I need to have most things done by the end of this month now though..good job I'm not working at the moment!

Next month, omg! Need to get my seating plan made! argh! instead im faffing about with curtains and clearing out under the stairs
