Is there anyone else struggling to get RSVPs?

We invited 150 people (inc kids) to our wedding and had to cut a lot of people we would like to come due to having to invite family (though even some of them had to be cut, arg).

We would like to keep the number below 120 as the decorator and caterer will reduce the price but if it goes below this there are some people we would like to invite instead.

So well we sent the invites out just over a month ago and there is now 2 months to go, we have only so far got about 50-60 yes rsvps, 1 no, a few "if I can get the day off" messages and quite a few people who have sort of said yes though we would prefer an actual proper response as they have an e-mail address to send to as well as our home address, I have even said just text or facebook us.

I was hoping to get the decorator & caterer paid off in the next couple of week's but with waiting for rsvps I don't see this as likely.

How long are you suppose to wait before I start chasing?

lol I stupidly did not put a date on the invites and only put June on our Save the Fbook page so probably as much my fault

Though I did a couple of week's ago put 'Oh and if people who haven't sent an rsvp yet could that would be great :D' on the fbook page to hopefully kick start the rsvps

I would make a list of the ones that have not replied or those who have given you a maybe, then contact them and say if you have not heard from them from such a date with a yes or no you will assume they are not attending. Harsh I know, but just tell them you need the figures for the venue by then.

Since I sent my invites about two weeks ago only two couples have actually given me RSVPs, I've had to ask everyone else!!! I know all my family are coming, but it's our friends and H2B's side I'm not sure. I wish I put a date on the RSVPs but I knew I'd still be chasing them up.
