Hi all am getting married on the 5th july 2014 what date should i ask for the rsvp to be back buy thanks.

My venue told me they needed numbers 6 weeks before so could sort out invoice for 4 weeks before... so suggested that RSVP date was 8 weeks before the wedding... so thats what we did.
wedding is 26 may.. aimed for final numbers by 26 april... so had rsvp as 26 march.
HOWEVER we were still chasing them up right till friday when our final meeting was Sat just gone... 1 month before....
some people will do few months, some few weeks...depends what you feel is best. With July and summer holidays soon maybe do yours a sort of 3 months before to be on safe side?

I had my RSVPs for 10 weeks before the day, that way I would hopefully have all the final numbers come the 6 weeks before when the venue wanted the final figures.

Yeh I'd say 6-8 weeks before then u got time to do any chasing if needed before u give in final numbers x

We went for rsvp 3 months before - and took about 4 weeks chasing after deadline date - still have no clue on lots for the evening but figured that doesnt matter so much as ceremony/meal guests

we're getting married on the 6th july this year, so not too far removed from your date. Our RSVP's are due back on 31st May (this month). and we're giving our numbers a week later on the 8th June, which gives us a week's grace, and our venue four weeks notice.

Ours is 29/06/13 and we sent out invites on 1st march with RSVP for 1st May. We still have 16 guests that we don't know about. I had a few text messages which takes it down to 12. My h2bs uncle & auntie haven't bothered and we don't have a phone number for them, we only invited them at his mums request but she has now disowned him (because she's a weirdo) so we don't know what to do about them. Up until the last 2 weeks I thought wedding planning was relatively stress free, it's only going to get worse. Make sure you give yourselves plenty of time. We had a surge 2 weeks after they were sent and the last week has been a trickle with 2 coming in today. Grrrrr!

Our wedding is July 26th this year and we asked for RSVPs to be back by 26th April. We needed menus back from everyone and we've left enough time to chase people up.
