If you have a professional photographer, please don't give them that list.
wpuld you give your cake maker a list saying "I would like my cake to contain flour, eggs, etc"?
The list is what they should be doing anyway. That is a list for someone who's never shot a wedding, and possibly has never used a camera before. Wedding magazines publish this sort of article because they need filler articles occasionally. The article will have been written by someone who doesn't know photography but probably got married once.
The best advice I can give is:
Ask to see several full weddings your photograoher has done. You will get a feel for what you are getting then.
ask if they are insured. LOTS of people pick up a camera but don't take their business seriously and insurance is there to protect you and them. If they aren't insured, don't expect them to take their photography seriously. They probably aren't paying tax on their earnings either.
Lastly make sure you get on with them as they will be a big part of your day.

Just changed up the list and sent it off to the photographer but said do not follow this whole list its just an idea iw rote down a deffo pictures I want and just do what you do capture the ambience and and the happiness of the day capture the wedding day in full smiling faces happy tears etc be in the backgroud be one with the day =D Xxx

I was starting to think about shots. JoD actually makes a really good point. Find out what your photographer does first then if theres anything you want that isn't on it, make your own list to give to them.

I roughed out a list (using this and ones from elsewhere) so J and I could figure out what kind of album size we might want/need, and to have a nice start-to-finish layout for extra albums we might do ourselves for family members...
Then our photog went and asked us if we had such a list, and was delighted when I was able to give him a print-off (of the neatened-up, non-scribbled over version!), as along with our chats and emails, it has really helped him get a sense of what's important to us and the kind of feel we're going for (more candid/action shots, rather than posed/passive).
As for a point made further up thread (about how most photogs should be doing these kinds of shots anyway), while I wouldn't just hand them a magazine/website's space-filler list like this, I *would* use it as a template to form your own "shot/album-list", for reasons like those I did it for.
