I have today decided to go back on the good old peppermint tea.

Recently Ive been drinking way too many fizzy drinks, and tea. and no water.
I've decided to cleanse myself with peppermint tea.

It's a good way to keep you weight down too as its full of antioxidants.

and the mintiness sort of curbs your cravings for food, so next time youre hungry for a snack (and you've had your breakfast/lunch/dinner ) and your trying not to reach for that second bisquit - try peppermint tea!!

I'll let you know how i get on with it - this is my first cup for a long time - so it might not last! hehe!

yeah coke is my massive weakness!! thats why i need to swap to peppermint

I started drinking it a few years back - and had to force myself because i didnt like it - and was only doing it as a health kick - but now i love it!!

    hehe!!

My SIL drinks boling hot water with a slice of lemon - thats her detox thing.

I also know someone who used to do hot water, slice of lemon and small piece of fresh ginger. They are all lovely and you feel soooo good afterwards - but obviously the fresh lemon and ginger is a bit annoying so i just stick to my peppermint teabags!!

You can get lemon and ginger tea bags too but the fresh stuff tastes wayyyyy better!!

I like the herbal and green teas. I am currently drinking a lot of lemon water (just cold water with a couple of drops or pure lemon juice) Peppermint tea aids digestion so is good to beat that bloated feeling, great for after meals. Green tea is brilliant for weight loss as it contains caffine which helps speed up the metabolism and also full of anti oxidents for a clearer complexion, camomile to relax with etc.... the list goes on.

I drink hot or cold filtered water all day every day and it works wonders for the complexion! The flavoured herbal teas are good for curbing food cravings and the peppermint ones are a must for me after a heavy meal. They are much more refreshing too!

I think it really is helping as I am now only drinking 2 x 500 ml bottles of coke a day now!!!

Where as previously i would be having at least 4 bottles or more. so It is getting better!!

I do pee a lot though! it seems to go through me quicker than coke - but that cant be a bad thing! sorry if Im sharing too much!! lol!

Rhiannonollie just think of the detox though if your peeing a lot! It means your insides are getting a good clean out ;)

I must say, i went off coke when i found out that the police force use it to clean the blood off of pavement after major accidents. Kinda made me question what it was doing to my insides!?

Ive found the best thing for detox is to throw a few handfuls of dead sea salts in a bath and soak for 20 mins then wrap yourself up in towel and lie down for a bit. Works a treat for me. And apparently your skin is your major detox organ so the salt really does work. xx

i never used to like peppermint tea but my mum got peppermint and spearmint mixed teabags and they are alot sweeter (i have a very sweet tooth!!). now addicted to any kind of peppermint tea!

ive heard that the best time to have green tea is before you work out as you burn loads more caleries. i need to get back down the gym and stop eating the big bars of dairy milk!!! oh and sweets and chocolate spread and crumpets. im really not doing very well at my healthy eating regime!!! opps.
