been to my local 21 of stores and instead of the baskets i got a box....better then it sounds actually lol.... its quite fitting actually as its baby pink which is one of my colour schemes and decorated with girly bathroom things such as lipsticks and powder puffs and spotted with dresses. pretty. bonus was it was in sale at only £1.99 BARGAIN!!!!!
my cameras not decided to work so don't have a pic yet :-(
inside im putting purple tissue paper for the lining so it goes with the rest of my colour scheme. x

Finally marrying the love of my life !!
10th August 2013 - 9 years to the day we met !
CommentAuthorHayley Elizabeth
OMG! What a fab idea! I love it!! Some of you girls have fantastic stuff in your baskets too! :) x
CommentAuthorElle23
I wanted to do this but both H2B and MOB think its an extra cost & not something that should be my concern :-(
elle can you not just buy one thing a month from £1 land i went there and only spent £10 on everything for the basket and then i had things like a spare deodrant and tampons in my cupboard u can do it really cheaply and you have loads of time to do it

Yeah I guess but I just feel a bit deflated as I thought it was such a lovely touch and they both looked at me like I had 10 heads!!!

I think this is something that people either get 100% or just think is the most pointless thing. Just go ahead and collect the bits and put it in there as planned. H2b won't see it, and your mum will hopefully be so over-awed with everything else on the day that she'll go with the flow.

That looks really good. the only thing that I would say is that it might be worth getting a little frame for the card as it may otherwise get lost in the basket.

i forgot to look at the toilets in my reception venue but my son went to a party there and said they wer nt very nice, so ill defo will be doing this, might even do it for gents but not sure wot i ll put in it, might just brighten them up with some flowers and hidden air freshners:-)
CommentAuthorLaura JaneW
Baskets are a lovely idea but is noone else worried about everything being nicked?
CommentAuthorfiona
It has definately crossed my mind!
CommentAuthorOWB
You're putting it there for everybody to use, so hopefully nobody would steal anything early on in the day. If they take it last thing at night then does it really matter, it wasn't needed by your guests, and you haven't put anything valuable or sentimental in it. I only use organic toiletries at home, so I won't be wanting to take any of the items away with me at the end of the day, people are welcome to whatever is in there.

CommentAuthorLaura JaneW
I'm not bothered about things being taken later on but it would be nice for the things that are there for everyone's use gets kept in the basket. Im going to put in mine: Blister plasters Hairspray Mini perfume Deodorant Spare tights Face powder Lip gloss Chewing gum Face wipes Paracetamol
Does anyone think leaving a set of straightners in the toilets would be a good idea? Not ghd obviously.
CommentAuthorPrincess2be
I really wanted to do this but my venue seems to offer all these things in their bathrrooms anyways....dont know what to do... x
CommentAuthorLaura JaneW
I'd just leave it then If it's available anyway! save yourself money!

just got my basket today from matalan....its heart shaped! :) it has a lid thats attached that i am going to prop against the wall at the venue and have attached my poem to the inside of the lid so when its propped up people can just read it on there rather than having the 2 seperate, have only got a few bits in it so far but mum keeps comming up with ideas lol she was even on about putting spare tights in before lol xx
CommentAuthorkrazykitty

Don't worry MrsE2B, at some point there will be lots of ladies wanting to use the bathroom at the same time - as always! - so they'll have to go upstairs! ;)
