woke up with a horrible red mark on my skin this morning, rushed to the docs wondering what the heck it is and turns out i've somehow got ringworm!!!! (luckily this is not a worm as i had imagined and is actually a fungal infection) but it can take up to a month to heal and the wedding is in 2 weeks!! never in my life have i caught this and it just happen to 2 weeks before my wedding.

no idea she asked me if i had been sharing my bed with my pets, i only have chinchillas and definitely don't share my bed with them! i have a cream to put on it so hopefully it will fade before the wedding, i did see a tip of putting nail polish over it to suffocate the infection but i'm not sure. definitely typical bad luck though x

Nicole, there is very little that make up can't cover, don't panic! It should get down by your wedding :)
We had a meeting with the Vicar yesterday and I got a bit down, but trying to see all the bright side. Because we are already married legally, a lot has to change regarding the ceremony. My dad can't walk me down the aisle, we can't exchange rings or vows. He suggested we walk down the aisle together (my husband and I), and explained how our rings will be blessed. I got a bit down because I wanted everything as traditional as possible, but never mind.
I am now thinking about a first look. I want the surprise moment somehow... Maybe by the church door, just before we get in, or at the hotel... Trying to think about the best ways to do things. Our bridesmaids are not walking down the aisle either, so I will need to rethink the ceremony bits.
To the happy side, the costs have dropped in over £200, so I am very glad.

Got my underwear yesterday from a place called Honey Birdette OMG they have so much lovely stuff, not just bridal. Its an Australian brand, free delivery too if you order online!

that's so exciting dreamland! I had my final dress fitting on saturday and my appointment to pick up my dress is the 15th! I'm crazy excited.
Only thing that has dampened things at the minute is that me and a bm have had a major fall out. I wasn't feeling like we were friends anymore which was brought up with her and she agreed and instead of it being left at that it spiraled out of control. I am most worried as her partner is h2b's best man and i really don't want it to impact them.

I had my dress fitting Saturday. Was lovely bring able to walk in it. Then Sunday was first banns reading and our taster. It was so much better than I expected! Our wedding co-ordinator was brilliant too. Had so much more confidence than usual. I feel excited.
We finished our table plan and sent a photo to my mom and sister (MOH) and sister flipped off saying that her boyfriend needs a role.. He is wearing the same colour suit as us. She asked us to hire the wedding tie for him. She tole us he will be wearing the same knot which we told her we didnt want and now she wants him to have a role. Really p155ed off. My mom has said she will have a word as both me and OH feel like she is trying to get him to wiggle into the wedding party.

I've been going through the boxes and boxes of wedding paraphernalia sorting things into keeping/selling/chucking.
Still can't believe its only been 2 weeks - nothing has really changed (which is a good thing) and thankfully I have been real busy so not been hit by the wedding blues just yet. But now the wedding is done OH and I are now discussing possibly trying for another baby :)

Camila - a first look photo is definitely a good option for you if you decided to walk in together. It's a shame they did not discuss these things with you earlier in the process as I can imagine it was so disappointing being told otherwise. Our cousin has a blessing immediately after their wedding on Saturday and it was really lovely, so I am sure however it goes it will be just wonderful for you x

Lesley, She isn't and has unfortunately decided she doesn't want to be there at all but honestly i am so pleased as it's all come out now about how she thinks h2b's mum is rude and she dislikes my family and me and h2b are all the names under the sun. Today, I finally married my best friend. I couodnt have asked for a more relaxed day! The rain wouldn't stop pouring in the morning, but the moment I stepped out, it stopped and a few hours later, the sun came out!
I didn't take any photos on my phone, but as soon as I get any I will post them up.

I started my grooms box yesterday and have lost the iron on for his boxers!! So annoying but only £1.75. I have written all of the tags and written his card. I got so emotional writing it! He got my engagement ring cleaned yesterday and sorted my gift. Really intrigued to see what he has got as he's not the best at gifts but seems really excited :)

we received a message today from h2b's best friend stepping down as best man due to the issues with his partner (the bm that has decided not to come at all) I'm absolutely heartbroken for h2b as this was his friend from around the age of 15. Such a shame that this has happened due to a disagreement between myself and his partner.

One of his groomsmen has taken over the roll ( it's who i would have wanted as best man had it been my choice) and he's already started his speech! It's nice to see him taking it so seriously.
Is the bag for yourself on the day claire? I haven't even thought of what i will be carrying anything in. Luckily i don't smoke so no need to carry anything like that and i'm sure i can go without my phone for the day, but i'm thinking makeup for touch ups may be a good thing to have at hand.

We're all getting soooo close <3 I'm happy to be under the 3 months mark, but still freaking out lol
I have to pay everything up to a month before, but I want to pay ASAP. We have all the money saved already, so just want to get over with it. We've got the last of the drinks, I think. Nicole, That's a real shame that h2b best man stepped down because of the issues. I would have thought he would have stood up to her because you can guarantee she told him he wasn't allowed to go, But I suppose it's small mercies because you now have someone who you would have preferred to be best man anyway. Do you still have plenty of bridesmaids with your friend stepping down? If so then it won't ruin things for you and I'm sure you'll still have am amazing day.
Emily, I can't believe it's one month!!! I have my hen do this weekend and I'm hoping it will start to feel real after that, it doesn't really feel like I'm getting married at the moment! We picked up bridesmaid dresses last weekend and my MOH's dress doesnt quite fit - she's meant to be eating healthy to try and lose a few pounds but she keeps eating rubbish and telling me about it, which isn't helping my stress levels!! I'm still waiting to hear from seamstress as to when they can get their fittings done...not sure if I should start chasing, but I might wait until after the weekend.
I feel bad as I have no intention of getting groom a present! He has me, ha!! :-) I am paying for bm's hair and makeup and I've got them a small compact mirror which is engraved, but is that enough? Groom is only giving his men personalised cufflinks but think he should probably get them something additional...what do you guys think?

Thanks Loz - yes I still have 4 bridesmaids so i'm not at all worried about myself just h2b as now he only has his best man and 1 usher but at the end of it all those who matter will be there :) We bought little mason jar glasses and some vodka and coke to put in the groomsman and dads boxes which was fairly inexpensive if you wanted to get them something extra.
May need to look into getting was as well Claire, thanks for mentioning it ! x

Loz i think it varies really. You dont have to get them much but it is nice to get something as a nice thank you. OH has got his best man, cufflinks, hip flask and an engraved keyring multi tool. Usher has cufflinks and a multi tool.
I would chase re the fittings. Have you had your dress fitting yet? Be firm with her, if the dress doesn't fit she cant wear it.. simple..
Nicole, My OH is just having best man and 1 usher but they are the people who matter the most to him which is what is important.
