im 3 weeks today :O

One of the little diamonds in my engagement ring fell out sometime between yesterday and today. Gutted!

However I have contacted the company where we bought them and they have told me just to send it back and they will repair and clean my ring free of charge - I just have to pay postage to get it to them.

Also we've finally had an offer accepted on a house so we are finally moving!!

We have had quite a few RSVPs back the last few days. Went to pick them up tonight. OHs grandparents have requested a song which we dont know.. Elvis, No Please... any ideas?

MIL and MOH helped me today with addressing the invites :) We are posting just after Easter. MIL has offered to pay for all the stamps :D

I am now trying to sort out everything I can. I have butterflies in my belly at the moment. Soooo exciting!

Are you guys having a kids table? Or offering some activity book? We are having 5-6 kids and I was thinking about a bag with an activity book, some crayons and pencil... The activity books I've found have about 7 activities each, what I don't think is much. What are your thoughts on this?

Kids will be with their parents though. Thought a kids table would get messy. Some are very young so would need help and one has learning difficulties so needs 2 parents/grandparents with him.

Had my last dress fitting this weekend! Lost nearly a stone and it looks perfect without the love handles! Haha! Can afford to go another few pounds without making too much of a difference! Ill more than likely put a few lbs on whilst being all inclusive the first few days! 20 days til we fly! Wedding all organised.... holiday shopping not so much!

Had our final meeting with our photographer and videographer (they are getting married in june!) today at our venue, they were fab and make us feel so comfortable. We had a pre wedding shoot too just to get us comfy with the poses and give us a feel for the day! Luckily it was dry lol

always awkward when people think they can invite someone else. its your wedding, your guest list and your money therefor its your decision! x

definitly, i think alot of people would love to have more spaces but numbers are restricting :( x

I have told them, all bar one is understanding, stupid thing is the ones who are happy to go into thousands of pounds of debt for their wedding thinks I should just get over it and let them come! I am not talking to her at the moment and she is so self obsessed she doesn't even know I am not talking to her! Some friend is all I think! I am sticking to my guns on this but I just am disappointed.

Hi all, not been on for a while so thought I would pop on and catch up.

We've had some devastating news which has put a stop on all planning.
My FIL has been ill for quite some time with various forms of the big C. He is now bed bound and its now just a matter of time . . . . we have been advised weeks rather than months. I am so gutted, as is my partner.

We are still going ahead with the wedding - as it 6 months away, but the thought of him not being there on our day is so upsetting and I just don't want to make any more plans. We have to give our stationer the names for the invites, but I just keep putting it off.

OH's dad keeps asking about the plans etc - I have a picture of me in my dress and am not sure if I should show him or not. I get upset every time he asks about the plans and have to keep leaving the room.

I think the OH is just blocking things out.

Sorry guys - just needed to get it off my chest and have a good cry.

Im so sorry for your news. You must be a mix of emotions just now!! I would do the same as Lesley and try and involve him in as much as possible, maybe see if there is a reading he would like to be read out in the ceremony etc?

Sorry to hear your news Maxine, it's hard having to sit by and watch loved ones slipping away. Try to stay strong for your OH as he will really need your support. I've just gone through that with my Mum who had Alzheimer's until she passed away last month. It's hard knowing that neither of my parents will be at the wedding (Dad died last July) and I'm really struggling to find any enthusiasm with anything wedding as it feels wrong to go on with it without them.

I'm also concerned about fitting in my dress too Wundatigga. I've got my first fitting tomorrow and have convinced myself that comfort eating will have wreaked havoc. Dreading it. Will just have to sew my mouth shut for 4 months!

I'm worried too, Ive always been a sport billy but it seems since Xmas theres always been a reason why I can't get to the gym. At the minute I have a chest infection, typical :-/

My dress fits (phew) and I have brought it home with me today. The shop where I got my dress is about 100 miles away from my home so will get the alterations done locally by someone recommended by the shop owner.

So relieved.

I have paid for my dress but wont be ordering it until June when I have a fitting and then they will order it for me - feels like that is ages away!
