Tried my wedding dress on again yesterday now that i have the shoes and the length is spot on with the shoes. Brought my best mate along with me for an honest opinion and she agreed with me, makes me look a bit shapeless

Think I need a fair bit of the dress taking in around the hip area, no idea how much that will cost but at the min I feel fat n frumpy in it :-(
These are views of the back and the shoes...

Hiya! the dress is gorgeous!! but i do agree with what your saying, it could be pulled in more around the hip area.. it would give you more of a fitted look. but you made need new shoes... because when they take it in around the hips the bottom of the dress will go up... so you might need to get a lower heel shoe. if that makes any sense?

It does indeed thanks. I should also say that it wasn't tied properly at the back so that might make a difference too xx

I was just going to say it doesn't look like it was tied properly at the back, I don't think you'll need alterations as once you've pulled the back in that will give you the shape your after. I think you need to try it on again and get someone to really pull the back in for you. I know yesterday when I tried on those style dresses they looked a million times better when the ladies really tied the ribbon back.

Beautiful dress, I agree with the others about pulling it in more at the back. I love your shoes. Can I ask where you got them from? :) xx

I've found a seamstress who will alter my dress but she says she aint touching it until about a month beforehand because she's dealt with so many brides and wedding dresses and with stress and fad diets (that many of us do before our wedding) she says my weight will probably fluctuate quite a lot (and she's right - my weight goes up and down more than a yo-yo). She's altering another dress for me next week so I will show her the wedding dress and get some thoughts on what needs doing xx

ah the new one is lovely, i think the strap is so unusual! although whenever i see a bride on here buying a new dress it makes me so stressed! i keep thinking i am going to end up doing the same! i think you made the right decision, the first one was nice but the 2nd one is more wow! xx

Love the new dress but I am curious about what you'll be doing with the old one? Is it still withthe shop and they're happy to take it back or do you now own it and have to sell it?

I bought the first one off ebay so will just put it back on there. The strap on the new one can be changed to a halter neck or removed. Very happy girl :-)
