    So far we have sorted:

    The church,
    The reception venue,
    The DJ,
    The bar,
    Colour scheme,
    Both wedding rings,
Flowers for bouquets (one lot still to arrive, then I get to be creative)
    Equipment for wreaths and swags,
    Equipment for centre pieces,
    Cards, cutter, coloured card and diamanté's for invites;
    Save the date cards,
    Cake,
    Catering menu suggestion file,
    The dress!

My biggest struggle at the minute is shoes. I need to decide on shoe height before I order my dress and I really want to order my dress. Fairly confident I can handle being in very high heels all day, but what if I can't? I don't could get lowers shoes to change into or I could just kick them off to dance, but then my dress will be too long!!

Also, due to personal issue FFIL will most likely have to withdraw any financial help, but that's ok, we had budgeted for everything ourselves to begin with.

My future father on law rang me today to say they would like to pay for catering, hire of reception venue and the dj. I'm chuffed! What an unexpected surprise!

I know. Such massive parts of our budget too. H2B didn't hit the normal targets last month so no bonus and it was a bit of a worry as to how we would save if he kept having to work from outdated data! As it happens, this month he has his target and since cut off day he has almost already hit next months target, so hopefully the bonus next month will make up for last month.

It can be so hard to see the bigger picture when things don't go to plan, so this news lowers the budget and saves any future panics!

That's lovely. I remember the relief when each set of parents told us what they had set aside. You're doing really well.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

I've now bought the invitation card, envelopes and a tool for card making. Our invitations are very simple, so they shouldn't be too time consuming!

My friend, who is on my college course (beauty diploma) has offered to do make-up, nails and tans, treatments of all description for cost of products. Another massive saving!

Its a butterfly cutter. When I am over my colour wobble I'm going to but the main colour in card form with a short trail of diamantes from the butterfly (top left) toward the centre, in the contrasting colour, then "Wedding Invitation" in a border bottom right. Nice and simple with a splash of colour. The invite cards are small, square black cards. I am very excited! No idea what I am putting inside them yet!
