3rd time lukcy for a cake thread!!

i thought id start my cake diary thread for those of you who are intrested in seeing the croc extravaganza come together!!

if you dont want to know or dont like it or have nothing nice to say or want to throw personal insults at me then please inbox me them and dont pollute another thread of garbage and childishness... i dont mind constructive critism like croc put some gold on that to make it look better etc ect as i really want to update this as im doing the cake id like a calm thread lol

so well top tier has been iced on to a board, and the swags ahave been made for the top tier (they are meant to be the way they are as they have stuff in the middle of the joins so that part wont be seen... they are now drying ready to be put on...

ive also ordered all my embossers and paints and lustres so that i can pipe the shapes as i cant free hand pipe... hopefully they will be here on thursday

and i am going with an urn with perals and flowers in as a cake topper as the nice cake topper we all liked is from america and its blinking tight with the wedding in 3 weeks so choice not to risk it... i think its for the best plus urns feature in the wedding flowers

oh the swags are currently drying over a curved surface so they are no longer banna shapped ... dont worry the croc has it covered... they are getting glued on hence why i didnt attach them straight away :O)

It'll be great to see this cake from start to finish as this is a process that not many of us will get to see with our own cakes. We'll get to see the magic taking place! FAO Croc....did you change your forum user name? I remember there being a crocodillo and I LOVED that name! Reminds me of holiday with H2B (don't ask!). just an idea for the top.....

with a gold vase instead but just an idea ...

and lemlau... in 3 cake boxes in the right size for each of the sections to hold them sturdy and in the back of my range rover ... and then when i get to the venue the day beofre i will take my stuff and set it up in the right place using a spirit level and take an emergancy kit too.. oh an step ladders!!!

I like the flowers but if the cake is tall, the detail wont be seen as the guests will be looking up at the underside of the vase.

Croc - perhaps when you upload pics you could upload the relevant tier of your "childish" drawing? (which I thought was good - shows my lack of art skills lol)
Then we know exactly which bit we're looking at :)
Shame the birdcage was in the USA, but I like the vase idea.

How are you gonna cut it if it's so tall? WIll you bring the top tier down to cut or simply cut a lower tier? xx
