    Has made me paranoid

Is it possible to have a dress and it be unalterable? I swear I could kill her. WHY didn't you get your size?! What if they can't take it in?!

So naturally, being the pessimist I am, I'm panicking about my dream dress not being alterable. Obviously I'm no seamstress, I just need my mind putting at ease really. It's lace up at the back, and the front has patterny stuff on it. cant seem to upload a close pictrure of the front, but Im working on that and will edit it in in due course!

Is there such a thing as an unalterable dress?!

I think most can be altered Hun. It's just harder for some than others particularly if the front is patterned. How too big is it? Xx

There are seamstresses at most bridal shops for a reason! Bridal dress measurements are so different to high street store sizes so there is usually always something that need's doing to a dress so don't panic!

It's only one size, though i'd say possibly two on my waist as it doesnt seem to come in much so theres quite a big gap there, but not too much bigger on my b00bs and hips

Does anyone know of a good seamstress in the manchester/Hyde area?

Could I take it to a bridal shop, despite not having bought it at one?

I wouldn't panic a good seamstress should be able to alter any dress even with the most elaborate patterns and lace up back dress always gives a bit more anyway xx

You could always go in and enquire. You could always bend the truth a bit and say you bought it elsewhere, not local to you but realised you may need some alterations and was wondering if they were able to have a look and see what needed doing, and if they could do it for you? or if they could recommend anyone.

don't know unless you ask? xx

i don't think theres many brides that can buy a wedding dress and not have any alterations done us women are all different shaped and sizes and wedding dresses are weird sizes at the best of times they leave plenty of seem to take them out and a good seamstress will be able to alter most dresses.

ask at the bridal shops near you if they can recommend anyone lots of shops do have there own in house seamstresses to do alterations but will usually alter other peoples dresses as they are separate to the sell part of the shop. if they wont do it they will know people that can x
