On Saturday we went to another dress shop. I've made a new album, titled 3 contenders.
I presume I haven't found "THE dress" yet as I love all 3 of them. I had decided I definitely wanted a sweetheart neckline and definitely wanted a drop waist, but the princess dress doesn't have the drop waist and I still love it, however, I do think it would be better with a corsetted back to pull it in.
What are your thoughts please ladies?

I think these ones suit you better than the first album. You look stunning in all 3 but I love 1 and 3 the best! Xxx

I like 2 & 3 the best, but it doesn't after what we like, it's what YOU like and feel the most amazing in! However can I add that most dresses can be made into a corset, usually about £50 alteration cost.
I think 3 best suits your figure! Really shows it off, the princess dress is lovely but I think it makes you look bigger than you are.

Thanks ladies :-)
I think 3 is my fav, but I go back and forward between that and the first!
The princess one is gorgeous and feels very, well, princess, but I think because the waist is higher, it doesn't show my curves and actually make me look wider around the middle, like you say sprucey. I was hoping someone was going to think so because my sister thinks it's the nicest as does my daughter. My mum said maybe it would be better with a corset back to pull it in more and give me back my curves, so you have really helped me stand by the fact I want a dropped waist.
I honestly can't see me trying on a dress and saying "yep, that's the one, put the rest back!" I like to spend time thinking and looking back, so you never know, depending what happens at other shops, one of these could be the dress. Plenty of time to try others yet though and not rush into anything, so if I don't have a sudden outburst of emotion, I still know I have the dress for me and haven't rushed into anything, if that makes sense?

I was the same if you look at the pics of the other dresses I tried on the bigger dress looked like I was trying to cover up bigger hips and belly, it's much better to show off your good bits which 3 deffo does, not sure one 1 I think I like the shape of 3 better. Maybe just try more dresses on in this style just slightly different details. It's how I came across mine, tried on one similar but slightly less detail an train, I liked it but it wasn't stand out. then when I found my one I found myself staring at all the details for ages, also helped my mum was allowed to take pics so I could compare it to the other one and the other one looked so plain on camera it made me love mine more! I wouldn't of picked mine on the Internet or off the hanger!

Thank you ladies. I did a little search for dresses in the styles I like. I have a wish list folder from which I have been eliminating things after each dress shop appointment and I found one from my wish list that I absolutely LOVE. It has all the qualities I think suit me best and flatter me. I followed the link to see what the damage would be and it takes me to ebay. The dress is £100 made to order. Whilst tempted to get my measurements sorted and buy the dress, I am also aware of the dangers of buying this way.
Still weighing it up, I am highly unlikely to find such an individual "me" dress and I have had my eye on it all along, but thought it would be thousands. The seller has 100% positive feedback with comments about the amazing quality and for £100 I could replace every bit of material if necc and pay for alterations. I can't actually think of any negatives that can't be fixed for the price, but I don't want to buy on impulse!
