    Hiya Everyone!!

You may remember me posting on here a few weeks ago about my MOH, She is my H2B sister but a very close friend to me!!!

When i went for my dress trials there was one of the bridesmaid dresses i wanted in the store for £35 when it was ment to be £180, the only problem i had with getting the dress was that it was a 14 and i knew that 2 of my bridesmaids were a 10, but then i thought of my MOH, i phoned her and told her about the dress and she said to get it as she wants to slim for the big day anyway!!! So ive bought the dress and ive ordered the other two dresses from america, but the biggest problem ive got is my MOH doesnt seem to be doing anything to lose the weight!!!!

Ive hinted to her about going to the gym together or going jogging but she just says yea ok and never does it, im really worried now, i know weve still got 16 months but the dresses are taking 5 months to make from america and we really cant afford to be paying another £150 for a dress for her!!!!

Please help me im sooooo stressed xx

might sound a bit horrible but i would say to her, "i am really sorry but you said you would lose the weight to get into you dress, if it was a problem you shouldnt of told me to buy it. i cant afford to get you anotherone so you either need to fit into the dress or buy yourown pretty sharpish"
it sounds really horrible but i am sure you could find a nice way to say it xxx

o dear not good, you have plenty of time dont panic, shes prob waiting till nearer the time. she probs need to see the dress and try it on to see she needs to slim. hopefully she will see sense then start doing something.

have you tried telling her she needs to start because you cant afford another dress for her now and you are more than happy to help her through it

    keep your chin up hunni

Lemondrops - Im exactly the same with my MOH i love her to pieces but she is being sooo difficult!!

She has seen the dress and attempted to try it on but could only get the zip up the tinyist bit =S

I keep saying i want to lose weight but i know in reality i wont :-( so im orderingmy dress the size i am when i order it in september/october. Perhaps see if you can get it altered to fit, theres loads of really good places you could use. If you go into a wedding shop they can usually recommend someone they use (ive already done this just in case lol and have 3 names and numbers from 2 shops)

thats the same as my BM but shes been real good bless her she want to hvae breast reduction for the wedding, shes a 34gg, i said no just get a bigger dress and have to taken in for your belly and if your bothered we will cut out the label.

its harsh but as 'ohfiddles' says cant you tell her nicely that if she dosent loose the weight and cant get in her dress she wil have to buy her own sharpish so it here for use

I think they can usually take each panel out about half an inch if it is pannelled, otherwise it's about half an inch on either side..that's the rough amount that way there's still enough to have a good seam to hold the dress together.

Im with Tiggs my BM is my sister and she has been great she is the one encouraging me to go out walking/running and she has two little ones. I think you should encourage her to take the little one out walking in the pram to the park and stuff as every little helps and if you go then she is not getting lonely at the park and has some adult time to. x

I'd go with b2bnicola's suggestion - and if you yourself don't actually need to lose the weight then you've got a good excuse to feed your face with chocolate to maintain your weight :) (Kerry not daft LOL)

It might just be the way I naturally interpret things but if I was going to be someone's MOH and they said
"Well your dress is coming in a size 10 so you've got to lose the weight or pay for a bigger dress because we can't afford it"
then I'd tell you where to shove your skinny minx BM dress.

When I first started planning this wedding I told myself I was going to be a size 10 bride - from a size 14 with 18 months to lose the weight it wouldn't have been impossible BUT I'm pregnant and I know that so long as I watch what I eat I should only go up to a 16 - but to lose 3 dress sizes in 6 months - HA! It so ain't going to happen!!
My point is that we all have these ideals as to how we and our wedding party are going to look - the reality however is much different.
Cut the girl some slack, if the dress doesn't fit then sell it on a certain marketplace website and offer to put the proceeds of the sale (which you were doing anyway) towards a dress that will fit her. It's a good compromise and fingers crossed it won't hurt her feelings!

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D
