The venue is beautiful, it has high white ceilings and a chandelier, it's all very clean and modern neutral. We picked it for location and price. We're smack bang in the middle of all family and friends so nobody should have issues getting there.
We're having a late ceremony and Skipping breakfast for a hog roast in the evening.
Now as the them is country vintage... I've always dreamt about it, I've made trinkets, floating candles in jars and hessian bows for non covered seats, but now looking at the venue I'm struggling to see how it will it come together.
Has anybody seen this look before? Does it work?
Do you think i Should just scrap the whole idea and start from catch and work with the venue?

Yes, you can do whatever you want to set your theme. Plenty of people hire village halls and turn them into whatever they like.

Think Victorian/Georgian house with a modern interior in reverse. They always look good, I think you want vintage fabrics and candleabra's with vintage style flowers and pearls, etc.

Thank you! The venue is having a wedding fair at the end of the month, it will be set up for a ceremony and a wedding breakfast (though we're not having one) I'm going to take a few sneaky snaps and put things together how I like. I think I'm just nervous... And I still have a very long way to go, lord help me on the day...

I'm having the same thoughts about my venue. It's plain, elegant and stylish, but I've picked wild flowers, milk jugs, vintage books etc. ??!

I think once it is in a room, you can do whatever you want with it, especially if it is a plain elegant one, it could actually look really nice. Do you have a picture of the room?

You could do it if you and your H2B puts your minds to it but you got to think if it's worth the risk or not because if you do it and you pull it off then you might put off something that no other bride as ever pulled off
