Omg my bridesmaid is still getting on my nerves! She's put weight on since we bought the dresses, when she first tried the dress, it fit perfect and she looked stunning. Now it's too small, she hasn't helped herself because she eats the wrong stuff and LOADS of it (she ate 4 eclairs in one go) now she won't stop messaging me asking have I got the dress back(it's in alterations) and if not when will it be... I've told her and told her and TOLD HER I've not hear yet and as it's been Easter I'm not expecting it to have been done yet until the end of the week... She's doing my nut in! She messaged again this morn asking and I said to her stop stressing it will be fine, I can understand why she's worried but omg! Leave me alone!!!!

I hope she didn't eat those eclairs since she got measured for her alterations! Could you maybe give her the number of the people doing the alterations so she can hassle them directly?

I think you should put it to her gently to ease up on the food by maybe suggesting you 'get fit' for the wedding together? Might also take her mind off the dress as you can talk about other things of the wedding with her? Hope it all works out for you x

I think she probably feels bad enough and is comfort eating. The chasing does sound annoying but unfortunately eating wise I really don't think it is anyone's place to do something but hers and when she's ready she will. As someone who has had weight hang ups most of my life you will probably push her away by bringing it up. I know it's hard when it affects your wedding but it's her body and think the problem goes deeper than simply stuffing her face for the sake of it.

Best of luck with it all. I agree that giving her the alterations number to nag directly might be a good idea xx

Girls I get married in a week... So no time to sit her down an talk to her, I've done that in the past... There's other stuff she's done that resulted in me asking her to just come as a gets instead and she promised me she'd stop the attitude and wanted to be a bm (she's 21) and has been such a diva, it's h2bs sister as well... Anyway onwards and upwards... X

I've had weight issues myself so I know where she's coming from but my point is I wish she'd just shut up! Lol

Even if she does start eating right there's not much point with 10 days left. I agree with showgirl, give her the number for the person doing the alterations so she can hassle them instead lol x

She spoke to me about an eating plan 6 months ago,and hasn't stuck to it so yeah I'm annoyed with her, you can stil put weight on in a week!

I'm not giving out numbers without their permission, it's not a shop it's a private residence x

Man, this would annoy me too. It's bad enough that she put on weight after the alterations had been done, but then to keep hassling you about it?

I get why she's doing it; she's obviously panicking that it won't fit and so is desperate to try it on. But I think she's being unreasonable and in your place I'd be pretty annoyed too.

Ah didn't realise it wasn't a shop. Just try to ignore her for a few more days until the dress is back and pray she hasn't put on any more weight... is there a plan B if it still doesn't fit?

got her dress as the lady texted me before and I picked it up on way home from work, ive msgd bm to say I have and can she come for 10 mins on Saturday, runs a bit like this:

bm - Ooh I said ill maybe be able to come round later on in the night on the Saturday
me - ok, when can you let me deffo let me know because its kinda important
bm - Ha I know it is..... I've been saying the same thing havnt I lol, just Saturdays are hard cos it's the only full day I get off to do things and sort bits out xxx ***(SARCASM????)***

Can't u just tell her to do one lol...she doesn't seem interested at all and every excuse in the book. Hope I don't get this when my time comes. I no this sounds bitchy but when she says it's the only time she gets to do things and sort bits out...she could be in the gym trying to shift some weight for your big day and not eating another eclair! Fingers crossed you get things sorted miss weedles x

Sounds like the dress has gone from her only priority to bottom of the list... at least it means she'll stop hassling you about it! You've both agreed to Saturday which is better than nothing. Grab a bottle of wine, run a nice hot bath and don't give her another thought until the weekend... then let us know how well the altered dress fits.

She can have plenty of days off after she's done with her bridesmaid duties. I think if it doesn't fit now that will have to be the last straw. She knew before she started stuffing her face that she would have to get into a bridesmaid dress, and that it had been made to certain measurements. There's no way you can do anything else with it at this stage.

Hi! The dress fits! Omg the relief...

We got the suits for the fellas on Saturday and all the guys made an effort to come and try them, we picked one up on the way home from town, another was out with his gf and he came back to try his, another came between sounds checks at a gig, my dad jumped in his on the way to Manchester for the night and another came down to ours and ended coming the pub etc... Only his dad didn't make the effort and that was his mums fault, h2b phoned to ask where they were and they were like oh we're not coming we're goin to dancing.... ERM WHAT THE ACTUAL FLUFF?!?!?

Mind you although bridesmaids dress fits it was a job getting her here again! H2b called her when we were on the way back home and said get to ours for 2 (at the time of calling it was 12) and she said there's no way I will be ready in time! AGAIN, WTF?!

I was all over the place on Saturday, brain wouldn't function and I was meeting myself coming back three times over! It felt like his parents didn't give a shiny about theirs sons wedding and would rather go out bl@@dy dancing than get their priorities right....
