I dont know what to do on 1 hand i love the big cake but then think cupcakes will go better with our theme plus we are going to keep it small to around 60 people so think the topsy turvy vintage 1 may be too much but then I was thinking maybe a fake cake and only keep the top section edible and have the cupcakes seperate on a cake stand im just soo confused I want both lol theres no price issue as other halfs aunty is making it as our wedding gift but would 2 sets of cakes be too much for 60 people?? x

Could you not have the cupcakes as favours? & have the topsy turvy cake but with one less tier? We're having a topsy turvy cake with 3 tiers :) xx

Siany got there first! I was going to say possible favours, although I'm sure you've probably got those covered already.
CommentAuthorLauraJo87
Personally, I absolutely adore the top one, I think it has a real wow factor.
The cupcakes are lovely, but for me it's the top cake....however, it's you're day and if you think the cupcakes will compliment your theme better, go with them.
Maybe you could have the top as your wedding cake and the cupcake as part of your evening buffet? Xx
didnt think of favours as im making personalized lovehearts and mini chocs but suppose I could get the cupcake boxes and package them and tie with ribbon as ive got loads of white paper bags I could personalize too with our wedding details on Thank you ladies its h2b's fault as he wants cupcakes lol x

CommentAuthorBuggerlugs
Thank you .. I just do them as a hobby for friends and family (and their friends) would love to be able to do them professionally one day though just too expensive to set up my own business when i have 2 young kids and saving for a wedding at the same time xx

I have looked into doing it from home yeah I still would have to have the insurance, have environmental health check out my kitchen to make sure it is up to standard etc and i am going to re-do my food hygiene certificate this year as my old one has ran out of date. I have made cakes for people i dont know before off friends recommending me to work collegues but i just make sure that they know i am a hobby baker and not a professional baker but they seem happy with it and have received a few gifts and thank you cards off people as well.. seem to be making a good client list now so hopefully its something i can do in the future. i will put some more photos on my page of other cakes I have made xx

Wow Charlotte, I agree with Brilly - your cakes are stunning!
You could have a few cupcakes dotted around the bottom of the topsy turvy if you only want a few to set it off?
CommentAuthorBuggerlugs
Thank you Brilly and Poppy :) x
CommentAuthorDanielleH98
You should go for both the cake is too stunning not to have and cupcakes will make great favours x
CommentAuthorStacyT
i would go with the fake cake idea. im thinking of doing a fake cake as i want 4 tier but they are soooo expensive! then cupcakes as favours. x
Cant wait to become Mrs Ellerington!!!!!
CommentAuthorBuggerlugs
You can still have fake cake with normal cake my friend had her bottom tier of the cake a fake cake then 3 layers of cake as it just added the height to the cake it can sometimes work out cheaper if you want an actual tiered cake x
CommentAuthorSianyCaitlin
Those cakes are awesome Charlotte!! I'd love to be able to make cakes like that! xx
