It seems so far away... I don't want to wish my life away but I just cant wait! I'm starting a new job two weeks today, so im hoping that will keep my mind occupied for at least a couple of months, then its my H2Bs 30th so I'll have that to organise, then before we know it it should be xmas, then time for invites to go out and dress fitting etc....so in theory it should fly by!!! (hopefully!) x

It all feels more official some how once you give notice, well it did for us anyway. They also gave us a list of options that we could choose our vows from, so its really lovely to see what we will actualy be saying on the day x

Not silly at all - its worth checking, if only to put your mind at rest. The only reason we did it sooo early was that because we needed to take a day off work to do it, I thought we may as well double it up with the planning meeting at the venue and then we can see the gardens etc as they would be at the same time of year as the wedding. We last saw it it February when it was all dreary, but it looked so lovely yesterday....so glad we picked the venue we did! x

I'm going to give my notice on Friday actually really excited about it - it's the only thing I have been waiting to do and can't do it until 3months before!! Phoned up to find out how much it was and the woman told me it was £69 but if for any reason the wedding was put back or brought forward the Notice would be invalid and I would have to re-submit it and pay again lol!!! xx

It seems every registry office is really different. We could do ours up to 12 months before (obviously as we still have 11 months to go!) and they said that so long as the wedding date stayed within 12 months after the notice being accepted then it would be valid, but if we change our venue then we would need to start the process again. I still cant believe we had to pay £33.50 each for the privilage of giving notice, on top of the nearly £400 we have to pay on the day - they're only there for about half hour, im so in the wrong job!!!

ours is 3 months before, £33.50 each for the day for 50 guests it's £220 that includes the £50 we have already paid to book date and time, £3.50 for certificate
