so after my last post about my aunt we went to see another lady tonight. she can do us a 3 tier dummy cake , bottom and top tier square and middle tier round, in our colours, red and white. with 2 cutting cakes already cut and in serviettes for £250. ive emailed my aunt to see if she can do the same style cake but in sponge for £250 to see if she can. h2bs only problem with the dummy cake is why take the time and effort to make a dummy cake why not just make a real cake?

I'm getting a real 3 teir cake (bottom fruit, top 2 sponge) with sugar roses cascading down the side of each tier to feed 130 people with delivery and set up for £290 so I think that is a bit steep for a fake cake hun! xxx

I'm not sure about the price as the cake is H2B job so I haven't seen any pricing on any of them, but I do agree with your H2B about the dummy/real cakes.. Xx

We are paying £425 for a 4 tier cake its not icing or maripan or fruit though, hence the price.
I think you can get a real cake for that price.

just spoke to my cousin and my aunts going to phone me, i hate talking to people on the phone though, i really need to overcome my fear of speaking to people on the phone lol

just spoke to my aunty, she can do me exactly same as the lady was offering but in sponge, without topper (which i dont care about as seen one i love) for £250. so it would look something like this, but the middle tier is round and bottom and top are square :
