I have came across a picture of our venue used for a wedding (its an old bowling green). We fell in love with it when we seen it but the hall was bare. Now Ive seen the pics I am having doubts as it just seems to be lacking that "wow" factor for me. Im sure when we do it up it will look completely different but now Im a little worried not sure if its the table cloths or the lack of chair decoration but somethings missing This is for our uk do but not sure if its the wow factor of our Mexico wedding shadowing it also x

oohhhh that is very promising. I think with plain white linen, some flowers or a table decoration and all things wedding it will look lovely! Is green part of your colour scheme? If not, get some chair covers! They work wonders ;) xxx

Thats what Im hoping if all the tables look the same it will look different plus im waiting to hear if we can hang tissue pompoms too, the green wasnt a choice at first but since were having vintage/ mad hatter tea party it will blend in as I am just going to add rose pink organza sashes round them with flower chair posies x

It looks a bit like a tea room in the pic but I'm sure with all the 'wedding ish decoration' it'll look so much better :-) You can make any room look lovely with the right decoration xxx

I bet 100% it'll look gorgeous.. It sounds like you know exactly what you want so will be nice and easy to get it the way you want it :-) its amazing how a few table cloths and chair covers can change a room.. Our venues ceremony room looks like board meeting room without all the chairs set up with chair covers but with them all covered properly it looks like a bright, fresh weddingy room lol xxx

Thank you Ana, I have a few bits and bobs to go in as I have been making tissue pom poms, glow jars, and little bits of alice in wonderland stuff. I hope if all the tables match and maybe adding a couple of the tables together it will look slightly different x

little miss thats what Im thinking hun I think it could possibly be the tablecloths thats throwing it for me where as I was thinking of white or even pink with white spots, blue with white spots and mint green with white spots. Now I have seen the pic though I think I can work with it and turn the negatives in to a positive x

aww that will look lovely. I think it is hard to imagine what your own will look like especially with that picture, as it is nothing at all how you want yours!
Also, have you asked if they are the table sizes and are definitely the chairs? That can make a difference too x

yeah they are hun its an old bowling green they renovated it but kept the table and chairs I think its the stripey table cloth thats knocking me for 6 xx

Kel it looks lovely the way it is hun but I think I just feel disheartened as its not what I pictured when I saw the empty room hun but I have a plan lol think Im gonna scrap some of my original ideas and make the inside more vintage with pinks etc and the mad hatter theme outside, there will still be bits dotted round but just not as much x

i think the green chairs make it look a bit more outdoorsy which should suit your hatter theme no problem. It will be amazing, stop flapping woman. I like it as it is already, never mind with all your amazing stuff in there too.

It's the table cloths - the room itself is lovely - bright and airy Matching table cloths and some matching organza around the chairs (or covers) and it will fit your theme perfectly.
Looking at all the bits you have made - you are 'arty' enough to bring it all together in any room and make it amazing . Relax, it'll be fine x

Thank you Velcro hun I think its because Ive imagined it differently and hadnt seen any previous pics infact the impression we got its the 1st wedding do there yet this was taken last year but not sure if they have took the pic themselves just to show what it would look like, im sure with abit more colour thrown in it will look completely different :) xx

I think it has a lot of potential once you make everything uniform and co-ordinating. The bare bones of the room looks stunning light bright and airy. I think this picture was something thrown together with whatever was handy to give it a party feel for the photo? Brilly i know you can work some magic as all your ideas on here are very creative =) pom poms and dotty tablecloths sounds amazing x

I think its the stripey one Velcro hun it just draws your eye to it Ive been and had a look at some today and Im thinking of just using white paper ones from the supermarket beginning with A as they are really thick and feel like material but 1 cloth would do 2 tables means £16 for 16 tables lol then I can add my cath kidston circle bits of material to the centre for the centre peice to sit on like this x

The room is beautiful. I think the green chairs are a little overpowering with the multicoloured table cloths, but if it was all brought into a neutral tone then I think it will look lovely.

wow Brilly its like you've read my mind i've doing a very similar thing with Cath K material only i've gone for squares in the middle and i'm having some lush tea lights from the sweedish home shop that have a cute rosebub pattern on them to match in with our china.

Mrs ashman i made mine round hun as our centrepieces are teacup candles but im in 2 minds wether to ditch the candles and use the lace jars with the flowers in them instead, the material I got is a copy of Cath Kidston but only £5 a metre instead of £18 x
