Can anyone suggest (by posting on my wall if necessary) any good places to get coloured uplighting from (see pics in my albums for what I mean...unless I magically work out how to post a pic of what I mean!) for a reasonable price (less than £100 to hire or buy 4)
Uplighting of venue in tiffany blue/aqua / turqouise
I just want to add a bit of colour and edge to the walls of the bay window area at my reception venue to sort of add my stamp and give it a slightly modern/glamourous edge!
Or a cheap alternative!

We don't have a DJ as we're cost cutting there again with a playlist on a laptop and using parents business PA system!
I think we might have some work flood light type things... i'll try and maybe find some coloured acetate online!

I'm getting some coloured uplighting but the lady who is doing all our venue dressing, chair covers and flowers is providing them complimentary so not paying any extra for them. Uplighting is really pretty and effective. Hope you find someone who can do it for a good price xx

No... my venue isn't mainstream and is a masonic lodge! I got my venue for free and bar rates heavily discounted as my uncle is a mason there... They don;t do anything like that... they just have contacts of some suppliers but not including them... the ones I have found so far are pricey.

Have you got a photographer booked? Some photographers might own coloured gels as part of their kit or would know where to buy them :)

Venue dressing companies can provide this, I found one (in Reading) who hire them out at £15 - cheapest so far! Ive also asked the DJ if he provides any.

Coloured acetates will do the same job. Ive used quality street sweet wrappers with my camera and its done the same job hehe. So you could look for camera gels on the bay they're quite cheap, they would also fit over flood lights xx

I'm worried acetate may melt with the heat of the light...
