my engagement ring box had 4 xmas tags on it that said To: Natalie, will you marry me, love from Kevin on them all. He wrapped the box inside an empty chocolate box with one of my winnie the pooh teddies to make sure it did not rattle. Everyone was in on it. We went to my mums on xmas morning and thats where i opened my pressies and found it! :) :) :)
I had to have it resized so i made him get down on one knee when i got it back hehe xx

my h2b asked me 3 months after we met and i said it was too soon and then 7 months after and 8 but i said too soon then i was hoping for xmas or new year nothing! ha and then the week b4 valentines day he come and he got on one knee when i had just come in from work and said ok enough! i love you the world and i want to ask now and want an answer this time will you marry me softy! haha and i said yes!
the funniest part was he took my old wedding ring to buy my engagement ring so god knows what the sales clerk must have thought haha xx

We had decided to sit and watch a film, in actual fact i believe it was hostel lol. He said he needed to go to the loo so went out side. Him being a computer geek had made a film that was to cut in half way through the film (when he went to the 'loo') of pictures of us and our song i wanna grow old with you. Then at the end it said will you marry me and in he came with the ring..... Hehe! x

It was supposed to be our anniversary but I was ill! So 1 week later, he took me out to Stirling Castle, and we had a tour and looked around then he gave me a card with a sort of poem in, and at the end, he wrote 'will you marry me?' It was so beautiful :)

Mine is so unromantic but perfect for me seeing as I'm not romantic anyway. I had wanted to get married for ages & thought he might do it after we had our second daughter but he didn't then one day we were shopping & I was looking in a jewellers hinting what rings I liked but I have done that millions of times. Anyway on way hone he told me if had seen one I liked he would have got it, I was gutted as if I'd known he was taking me seriously I would have looked harder! Anyway week later he cane home from work & in front of our girls got down on one knee & started saying soppy things to me, I couldn't stop giggling & then spied the Tiffany box & was like just give me the ring! It was so funny & he was telling me off for looking at my ring on my hand over his shoulder when he was kissing me. Our eldest daughter whad just turned 2 was saying "wow" at my ring & kept asking where her one was, so we had to get her a ring too! Bless! So glad we were at home, would have been mortified if done in public xx

We were just cleaning our new house ready to move in, he was cleaning the carpet in the living room. He came into the kitchen and asked if in wanted to see what he ahd done. I went into the living room and he had a red heart shaped helium balloon with a little basket underneath with the ring and a card that said will you marry me.
He said he made me a little hot air balloon as he couldnt afford to take me in a real one. It was so sweet. I got 2 rings as well coz he bought a cheap one to propose with and then i got to pick the real one.

Well mine was planning to on proposing on Christmas Eve apparently. He kept bottling it! lol Then I dragged him to midnight mass and ruined his plans. After mass the ground was frosty, the mist was in the air and the christmas bells were ringing (almost too perfect) but he'd left the ring in the car. Woke up on Christmas morning and we wished each other Merry Christmas etc, we had breakfast in bed- I got up and went to the bathroom (like u do) and when i came back into the bedroom he was on one knee and proposed. In his undies lol!! He used a temporary ring as the real one still wasn't ready. Anyway 2 weeks later I got a very public proposal (probably cos he knew i would say yes) with my real ring in front of all my friends and the whole bar in town. Awww he is sooo thoughtful! x

my H2B asked me to marry him on my mum's birthday in july last year , we where on a family holiday in disney world florida in front of the disney castle and i was in such shock it took ages for me to say yes lol it was amazing we had pictures taken. afterwards i found out he had asked my family and my dad even helped pick my ring :@)
and at the end of the day we had a snog watching the "wishes " firework show

Kevin had brought my ring months before he asked me. He was waiting until we went on hols but the only night he thought was right to ask he had forgot to bring the ring out with him. He then waited until we went to London to watch love never dies. We had gone shopping in Harrods and was up on the terrace bar having afternoon tea. The pianist was playing and I had just said to him that I couldn't imagine a life without him as he means the world to me and makes my life complete. I was a little shocked when he started getting emotional as its not usually like him. The next thing I know he showed me the box. I was thinking he had brought me a pair of earrings or something so was so shocked when he opened up the box and asked me. We both started getting emotional and then couldn't stop beaming. He was going to wait until we were down by the river but felt compelled to do it after what I had just said.

Got engaged in a snowy Central Park in New York on new years eve (during the day!) we didn't tell anyone till we came home so it was our little secret for a few days!! i loved it! it was great coming home to tell everyone face to face!!! Apart from actually getting engagaed i think that was the best bit for me and i'll never forget it!!!

We had been talking about getting engaged - we've both been engaged before and I really dont like the getting down on one knee thing (sorry its just not for me) I always said id rather just be doing something normal. We'd told my parents we were thinking of it and were saving for a ring and then went to tell his that we were thinking of it. He then told his mum and dad we were engaged - I said to him no we're thinking about it get it right at which point he said well I thought we were gonna take this as being engaged! I was laughing at him and so was his mum saying I dont think so mate, so in front of his parents he asked me to marry him and his mum burst into tears!

Steve took me away to the lakes for my birthday. On the first night there (my bday) he ran me a bubble bath, put nice music on and gave me a glass of wine and said I couldn't come out the bathroom until he shouted me as he was wrapping my pressies up! When I came out the bathroom he was playing our song, he'd had written "will you marry me?" in rose petals on the bed and was down on one knee with the ring and everything (he'd even got the right size!). I was so surprised and just cried - he's never been romantic in the 5 1/2 year we've been together buty he well and truley made up for it that day xx

we were going to stay with his parents for the weekend of our second anniversary so they could look after our dogs while we went out etc, he said he had some things planned but wouldn't let slip about anything (this went on for 2 months mind!) he said we had to get on the coach to go to this place... which turned out to be london! found out not long after being on the coach that he'd booked us tickets to see stephen k amos for that evening.. we were walking through london by the big wheel and big ben he said he needed to sit down for a minute and he was telling me how much i meant to him and thank you for all the support when he had a car accident last year.. as he was doing that he was rummaging in his bag and i asked him what he was doing, saw a little green box stupidly asked what it was (not thinking it might be a ring) he told me to close my eyes and when i opened them he was on one knee asking me to marry him! it was so sweet he had a little bottle of champagne in his bag with 2 glasses! x

I had been going on at him for about a year...xmas, my birthday, valentines day. When all these had passed I sulked cos he hadnt done it. Then sept last year we went to London (again I was hoping for him to ask) for the weekend and were walking along the embankment past the wheel and near big ben and he turmed me around and asked me, I am ashamed to say I swore at him cos I thought he was joking lol. He pulled out a photo of my Great Grandma, who lived and worked in London. He halso had a letter which said we had an appointment to go and get my ring from the jewellers where my Great gran had worked for 30 years. He had got all this info from my Aunt as my Mum is no longer her. I cried and cried I was so happy :-)

well what he wanted to do he couldn't because of his sister but, he locked me in his sisters upstairs bathroom, (we where cat sitting) and then shouted me down, on the way down i noticed the lights where off, but there was this strange glow. as i got to the bottom he'd lit the room with candles, at least 100 and was stood there shaking. i thought he'd brought me a necklace i'd seen a while ago. he took my hand, lead me in to the centre of the room, and closed my eyes. when i opened them i didnt see him, he was on one knee and thats when he popped the question.
funny thing is i had about a hundred answers for him, and the one that came out my mouth was 'ahhh go on then'. so romantic! hahaha! he proposed on our 1 year anniversary 30th July 2009.
then his sister and family wrecked the occasion by starting a fight! so we had an hour of happiness followed by a month of arguments!
