    I need to start thinking of a budget really for my dress, how much is too much I want to look lovely, but dont want to go silly?

    What you can realistically afford. That will be different for every person. Do some research into your likes and dislikes, and see if you feel the prices are acceptable for what you want. If you feel its too much, yu have your answer and look for cheaper dresses.

    Well im paying £325 but I am buying mine from a Chinese seller, others are spending less and others a hell of a lot more!! All depends what sort of dress you want hun!

    Good luck in however much you choose to spend and when you start looking!! I've budgeted/going for between £500-800 for mine, but knowing me I'll find one I love at like £1000 and then sulk that I can't have it!!

    I set a budget of 1200, but when i was picking dresses out to try on i never looked at any of the price tags. the dress i chose was 840 which was well under budget!!

    think it depends on your budget really hun, i budgeted for £1000 but luckerly i found the one for £775 so well under budget. good luck finding the right one hun xx

    I found 2 I liked in shops £650, and £495, ... then was sat squiggling one evening, went on that well known site for a giggle and found my perfect dress for £50 .. took a gamble and it paid off! :)

    The one i've picked is £160 from a well known seller that i found through here! It really depends on you, what you like, where you shop and how much you can realistically afford. xx

    I am Lucky I have a stage desinger father who is going to design mine and a costume maker mother who will make it. is there anyone who could copy the dress you wont if its to much?

    I'm making my own, and have spent £100 on the material. The material is to make my dress, matching waistcoat for h2b, bridesmaid dress, and best womans dress. xx

    tROUBLE IS YOU MIGHT TRY SOME ON AND FALL IN LOVE WITH ONE THAT IS OVER BUDGET SO BE WARNED.

    i FELL IN LOVE WITH MINE AND SENT OFF A PIC TO A POPULAR LADY AND NOW IVE SAVED £100 SO IM HAPPY :-)

    i tried on a few and the one i fel in love with was £700. wen i told carl i had seen a dress he asked how much and wen i told him he said he was thinkin of around £750 so i did pretty gud. needless to say the dress is hanging up in my mams back bedroom x

    Personally I wouldnt have spent anymore than a grand and was able to get my £1200,00 dress for £800....yeah!!!!!!!!xx

    My budget was £1000-i paid £1400 for my dress, but i love it and didnt ruin the wedding budget as i payed the extra out of my savings x

    spend wht you want to spend hun ...im going to a wedding next month where the bride has spent 3k on her dress .....doent mean she will look any more fantastic than a dress costing £50 the beauty comes rom the person wearing it not the material

    I think how much you spend on your dress is really a very personal decision...just make sure to SHOP AROUND, get LOTS of recommendations and ASK QUESTIONS!

    My budget was £1000 and i've gone over by £200! Like you I get to wear mine twice tho so Im thinking - its like two dresses at £600 each. Bargain :o) Have fun trying some on x x

    I've ordered a dress from a chinese seller on ebay for £96 and she said it should arrive with me in the next 2 weeks so fingers crossed! my thinking was they are mostly made in china anyways and if the feedback is really good then its a bargain!
