Ben and I met when we were at school and became really good friends. The he broke up with his gf of 3 years after she slept with someone else and I was there to pick up the pieces. We've been inseparable ever since :)

met him at the pub i had gone out with a friend and her brother and he was in the group of friends who's b'day it was. spent the whole evening togetherh he even gave me his coat and took me home first in the taxi even though his house was nearer!!
wasn't until a few months later we got together though!! we texted lots but he was sort of seeing someone else (i wasn't the other woman!lol) i gave up and enjoyed singledom then he came crawling back!!
What i love is though that night my friend i have a feeling about this one laura!!

I'd won tickets to a VW show in Wales (where I'd never been before) and I'd driven down from a holiday in the Lake District. Awful journey, took me 7 hours on rubbish motorways, so I was knackered when I got there. Drove into the field, found my friends, found a space next to a camper I didn't recognise, and parked. A guy I didn't know came out of the van, looked a bit disconcerted, then introduced himself.
I later found out that he was saving the spot I'd parked in for his mate and was coming out to tell me to move...but when he saw me he thought "Sod Jimbo, she can stay!"
We got a little bit tipsy that night round the campfire and we've been together ever since - 5 years now!
The weirdest thing was, he'd just come back from living in the US for 10 years, but he grew up 10 minutes down the road from me in London!

I confess I met my h2b on freedating. I had been there over a year and some weeks had a date every night of the week! It took me ages to find what I was looking for but I got there in the end. I actually emailed him first and he sent back such a lovely message I knew I had to meet him. A couple of days later we had our first date at Newstead Abbey and it just went so well.
I played it cool when he said he had to go (his tummy was rumbling as it was well past dinner time) so I asked him if he wanted something to eat at mine before he left as he had a long drive back home. We stopped off at Tesco's and I got some food in and cooked for him. He was a gent and asked if he could pay for it as I had gone to so much trouble for him so I casually said he can cook next time if he likes? Needless to say we ended up spending the next weekend together and that was it. I'm so glad that I had the courage to ask him as it saved a lot of time messing about finding out how we both felt. Just goes to show that not all the internet is full of freaks and it can work. (eventually)

We met on a dating website when I emailed him. He was the first person I'd met online & vice versa. Our first date was so great that 2 days later we had another, then 4 months later we moved in together & a year later we're engaged to be married!! crazy!!
H2b confessed on the first date that the night I emailed him he was planning to delete his profile from the dating site, but had to stay late at work. The day after when he logged in to do it he found my email!! I never believed in fate until we met each other & now I feel like I've got my own little fairytale!! I thank my lucky stars everyday that we found each other!.... sorry if i've made anyone feel sick!! lol!! x x x

I think in this day and age its about the only way to meet other people out of your social circle. You are hardly going to go up to a stranger in a pub etc and ask them if they are single. If its done with care then I think its really safe as well. I used to always text my friend their car reg etc and which pub we were meeting in. I would then make sure I was not being followed home. At least if someone did try to kill me the police would have an idea who it was lol.

ed and i met at the pub that i used to work in 5yrs ago, then his mother took over the pub (which was weird) after about 8months we split and i went off with some one else, after a year i left the other bloke (not a nice man) and ended up back at said pub and as they say the rest is history lol xx

i met mark when i was 16, he used to visit our neighbours and i used to go outside in my garden and sit there for hours just to catch a glimpse of him when he used to pull up outside on his motorbike, with long hair, and leather jacket and rock tee-shirts and tight jeans, he isnt quite the same now though 26 years later x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.

it was christmas 2000, the x mas after i left school (i was 16 and he was 19) and we both got a temp job at toys r us hehehe been together pretty much ever since. we actually got together officially on his 20th birthday 9th december so coming up for the 10 year mark for us!! pretty much love at first sight, i knew he was the one for me from the begining. he proposed to me in 2001 in gran canaria, so it has been a long engagement but we are finallllllly going to tie the knot!! x

I met my H2B over 20 years ago at School. We got together in February 2009, had our Daughter April 2010 and we're getting married in July 2011. We were friends at school and have always had the same group of extended friends and always saw each other out. We had a bit of a drunken kiss and we've been together ever since!

i know couldn't believe how completly random we met!! turns out i was going to meet one of his lifelong friends that night in another pub (we actually knew a lot of the same people but had never met eachother and didn't realise we knew the same people until we got talking on myspace!) and i'd known his sister on and off since primary school! went to see his sister and his neices and she turned round and said oh i hear my brother proposed to you the other night... i was like your who??! haha!! :-) xx

my best friends little brother lol oops :D well actually we all went to the seaside, and he took us as he could drive, the idiot ended up crashing on the way back, we were all ok, but i come out worst very sore covered in cuts and bruises, so at the weekend, when i would usually have gone clubbin i couldnt coz i was too sore, so he stayed in with me coz he felt guilty, and we ended up chatting, one thing led to another and here we are nearly 6 years later lol :D xXx

We met at work, we worked in the same office but technically in different departments so didn't talk really until a staff night out, when he was really shy and quiet and I started speaking to him because nobody else was and I felt sorry for him! We had really similar taste in music so we chatted a lot over the next week, and then when I was working a late shift on my birthday I wanted to go out for last minute drinks after and he was the only person who was free to come with me. We ended up really getting to know each other and stayed out so late we both missed our last buses home - we had to sleep that night in the staff room at work, and I found out he was the best kisser ever! We've been together ever since. :D

I was living in australia at the time, we met in a pub whilst I was home in uk on hols (he'd spent a lot of time in aus so a mutual friend introduced us). We clicked and started emailing and ringing eachother, he came out to see me a few times and we had to make a decision one of us had to make a big move to be together so I decided to come home and 5 years later we are 5 weeks off our big day!!!!

I met my partner at college, we were in the same lessons. I was with my ex at the time and he had a gf so we started as friends.
