i have booked a hotel but the food is very expensive ive had standard buffet but dessert are 4.50pp i have 130 people coming so no way im paying that much. Im having a giant cupcake and 60 cupcakes but there wont be enough to go around the hotel says no supermarket or home made cakes etc we have a sweet cart to for 130 people so not sure what to do???

If you have a candy buffet and the giant cupcake with smaller cupcakes then I'm not sure you actually need to worry about desert as there will already be plenty of sweet items available. If the cake definitely won't be enough to go round then is it possible for you or someone you know to bake the remaining amount? If you're collecting the cake yourself (rather than having it delivered to the venue) then you can mix the home made ones in without the hotel knowing any differently. Perhaps you could have a groom's cake which gets cut up and added to the buffet for desert to make up the shortfall.

The giant cupcake will cut up-to 25 people so with cupcakes got roughly 85 pieces just worrying if everybody wants some but cant really add lots more as there £2 per cupcake as it is and im assuming kids will got for candy rather than cake :-) its being delivered to hotel or i could of brought white oxes and done extras ha ha x

As you're having 130 people, could you also order a 'cutting' cake? These are generally kept in the kitchen and brought out once the main cake has been cut to allow for more people without you needing to order more individual cupcakes. I think from quotes we received they range from anywhere from £25+ depending on flavours so could be cheaper that paying for additional cupcakes or dessert at the venue without leaving any guests out! xxx

yes we have 130 for the evening :-/ ha ha x yes ive a quote for a giant cupcake 60 cupcakes and and 8 inch wedding cake with flowers on all fro £200 :-) xx
