I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have brought the blank cards pre scored and made my template for the size of them on word but when I press print it doesnt print on the card!! I put in a blank A4 sheet and it printed on there so obviously I am doing something wrong any advice would be great xxx

You need to set it up on word for the paper size to be the size of the placecard.... Word thinks your printing onto A4 and it cant detect a piece of paper in the printer. What version of Word are you using?

word 2010 hun - i went onto paper size changed it to 9cm x 9cm then tried to print on that but it still wont do it xx

Have you tried pushing the placecard into the corner of the printer so when it pulls the paper you push it through? Thats how we did it as kind of tricked the printer lol xxx

I haven't finished them yet, the bows were brought off ebay already tied so saved me a job and just printed names straight on the cards but I used publisher not word then stuck the bows on with double sided tape. I have done the people I know are coming but not sent out invites yet lol xxx

Also, check your printer. Some of them have a minimum print size. I had teenie tiny envelopes to out our surprise 'hymn' in, and I had to print onto labels as the envelopes were too small for the printer to accept. I have a rather fancy printer too, designed for designers and photographers, so I was rather annoyed!!
My invites were fiddly to print. I used a professional design package and I set the size up at the start but then I had to set it up again on the print set up.
